Feff. I think I wore myself out this weekend. u_u; I went shooting on Saturday. Yes, shooting...as in guns. It was my first time and my mom's friend Ken showed me how. I found out that I'm pretty proficient with whatever you give me. I'm best with a 9mm automatic, though. (1 stray [a little bit more recoil my #$@, Ken] and the other 9 through the heart of the target) Mostly I used my grandma's .22 ...I hate .22's. It was a revolver too. True, it didn't jam as much and I didn't have to search for my shells afterwards, but it was really old and needed work in the worst way. I did end up bruising my trigger finger though...¬_¬;
Then I used my mom's .38 ...o.o It's loud and has too much kickback. I still hit the target's chest though.
The 9mm automatic was my favorite though. (then the .38 ... the .22 was the devil...)
Ken calculated my score and I actually scored high enough to get a concealed weapon permit on my first try. o.O
The whole thing was fun except for when the drunken middle-aged guy drove up on his 4-wheeler and proceeded to hit on me. >_< THAT is why I never go out in public! [Course we weren't even in public...but that's not my point...]
Then I got to see Becky and my mom bought a lot of hippy stuff for us both. ^.^;; *is not a hippy...she just likes candles* And she bought me stuff for my dreamcatchers.
Speaking of those....my hands are RAW! x_X Rough leather rope hurts when you have to tightly wrap a giant metal circle...u_u; Leave it to me to pick the painful craft hobbies.
I really need to work on Chosen...in a minute...>_<; *is such a slacker*

Yea! I finished uploading everything to the new server! (Except this page, I'm just gonna move it next month when I post the new layout.)
If you go to the old index page, you'll get to see my first ever image map! (I know it doesn't really look like one, I wanted to be able to click on KenKen though...u_u; Besides, it was a good excuse to learn image maps...) AND I even got a nice hover background going on. X3
All this has been going on while I was forced to make dinner. (Kurai can't cook. For evidence, see last month's blog.)
Erk...now I have to go eat the stuff...Xþ

My new server and my ftp program are irritating me. ...but I'm not going to go into that...
I need someone to write a brief intro/lead-in/summary (2-3 sentences) of each fanfic in the fanfiction section. u_u; Just tell what the fic's about...so that people will know if they want to read it or not. (I'm really not sure why I'm asking this, seeing as no one's ever emailed me with anything I've asked.)
I'm going to go fight with my ftp program and maybe work on chapter three of Chosen.

Me and my stupid ideas. See, I was working diligently on the third chapter of Chosen when inspiration struck. I wanted the symbol (I can't say too much or I'll give it away...) to read "You have sinned", but would English do? Noooo~! I had to have it in Latin. So after an hour of searching the net for a dead language translator, I finally just set about to conjugating the stupid verb myself. Sin is peccō (peccāre), right? Sounds simple enough. I want 'you have' so that'd be...indicative perfect? *isn't sure* So that would make it peccāvístī. I think that's right...I heard something similar on Law and Order one day and it meant 'You have sinned'. (Ah, education at it's finest.)
...or would I need conjunctive present? o.o That would make it peccḗris and I don't think that's right. (I should have paid much more attention in Magister's class...) I would ask Magister (I haven't had the class in a year, though), but I used to bug him all the time to translate random things. Like 'de profundis clamo ad dominum'. That one drove me nuts until I finally mustered up the courage to ask. (Originally, I had the wrong grammar...stupid foreign grammar)
Well, now I'm stuck...I refuse to move on without knowing which is correct. I think it's peccāvístī....u_u;
This is gonna drive me insane...email me if you know the answer.

Eef...u_u; I'm so worn out. Yesterday, my dad and I went on a hike through the New River Gorge...an 80-minute hike. See, I don't get out much, so I'm really not in shape...but I did better than I thought I would. We found a lot of stuff from the floods. I think we were the first people that have ventured out there since then. I've never seen so many shoes on the riverside...there was a boulder in a tree too. o.o That and giagantic turkey tracks. ¬_¬; Along with the carcasses of two deer, a vulture, and half a raccoon. *sweatdrop* Lovely, I know.
Young children are loud...very loud. So much so that I dread going to sleep because I know that I'll just be woken up by shrill sreeching.
*sighs* I'm going to get ready for bed...or something...

After hours of looking through files, Kurai has come to one definite conclusion: people who make layouts are out to teach me how to make them. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, everyone makes their main text area about 230 pixels wide. ....WHY? I hate cramped text. So it's up to me to make them anywhere from 375-440 pixels wide. This usually involves div layers, and Kurai really hates div layers because to change the size of the text field, you have to modify the background or it'll look funny.
I've taken a liking to converting pop-up layouts to regular iframe layouts. This does not always work and why, I'm not sure. When people have their 'backgrounds' repeating, I can't manipulate them. (But I will find a way, yes...)
Oh! I found the funniest thing! LiveJournals of Fujimiya Ran and Brad Crawford. XD I wasn't aware that anyone did this sort of thing in their spare time. *is apparently sheltered* Anyway, they're hilarious. (The page I found them on is Code Name: Weiss Kreuz.)
Well, I'm off to sort through psych. Xþ

I actually did something this weekend. *dies* I fought back my reclusive nature and went with Jenn to dinner, the mall, and the movies. (We saw "Darkness Falls"...It was quite...trippy...) Yes...Kurai went shopping. *waits for the world to end* And I actually bought something! x_X Ok, so it was a nice black leather trench coat, but hey. ¬_¬
