Here’s the second chapter to “Are You My Daddy?”!!! ^^ I think I’m REALLY going to like writing this one. I love writing Bebop High but this one I don’t want to be as long. Bebop High is getting pretty long but I’m proud of myself on that one ‘cause I’m actually still writing it and people are still reviewing for it! Anyways, The “first chapter” was just kind of a preview; the chapters will be fair size in my point of view. So um… read and enjoy! ^^

The bell rang and Spyke eagerly grabbed her bag and dashed to the door.
“What’s the rush Spyke?” Mika, asked.
Spyke briefly replied, “Going to Jet’s!” Before she ran out the door.

“Hey kid-o!” Jet waved from the dock as he seen Spyke running towards him. He chuckled, ‘Boy, she’s grown so fast…’ he thought to himself.
“Jet! Yay!” The young girl jumped up wrapping her arms around his neck as they hugged.
“What do’ya mean ‘Jet?’” he questioned her. He shook his head playfully, “Kids today, no respect…” He sighed.
Spyke smiled, “Sorry, UNCLE Jet!” she giggled.
They hugged once more before Jet set her down on the dock.
“So where’ya been Uncle Jet?”
“Ah ya know, travelin’ space and such. I caught a bounty, but business has been slow as usual.”
“Wow! A real live bounty? Was he big and mean and scary?” She threw her hand out making scary gestures to emphasize how the bounty was.
“Yeah, but he wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle!” Jet flexed his real arm to show off his bulky muscle.
Spyke rolled her eyes. “Could I go bounty hunting with you Uncle Jet? I could help! I’ve gotten better!” She jumped up and down with excitement wanting badly to go with Jet on an adventure.
Jet patted her head and invited her inside the Bebop where they could talk and eat cookies and such.

Sitting inside they played a game of checkers to pass the time. Spyke was staying with Jet today while she waited for her mom instead of staying at school. Spyke loved when Uncle Jet came to see her ‘cause he always had fun, exciting stories to tell her.
Spyke looked up at Jet who was pondering his next move. She watched him for a moment more before asking him a question she had wanted to ask for so long. She never had a chance because Uncle Jet couldn’t stop by all the time, and sometimes when he did, she’d forget it with all the fun they were having.
“Uncle Jet?”
“Yeah?”
“Did you know my dad?”
Jet looked up abruptly, “Sure I did, but wha’d you want to know that for? Didn’t your mom tell ya anything?”
Spyke shook her head, “Mommy doesn’t ever talk about him, she always tells me she’ll tell me later and then she never does.”
“That’s strange, I thought you knew.”
“Could you tell me about him, Uncle Jet?”
“I… I’m not sure I should. You should ask your mom, I don’t think she wants me to tell you.” Jet placed a chip on another square.
“Please Uncle Jet?” She gave her saddest puppy dog eyes.
“I’m sorry Spyke, I’ll talk to your mom but I can’t tell you if she doesn’t want me to.”
Spyke nodded sadly but recovered quickly placing her chip down on the board, “King me!”

“Jet?” Faye’s heals click dully as she walked through the corridor to the main room where the old yellow couch still sat with the old rusting table.
Jet looked up from the TV. He was sitting on the couch with a bundle of blankets next to him. “Hey.”
“Where’s Spyke?” Faye asked.
“Right here,” he pointed to the blankets and through a small hole you could see Spyke’s tiny face poking out.
Jet stood up and walked over to Faye grabbing her arm he brought her to the hallway where they could talk quietly. “Why haven’t you told her about her father?”
“What do you mean?”
“Why doesn’t she know anything about he dad?”
“He’s not her father, she doesn’t have a father!” Faye whispered sharply.
“If she hasn’t got a father then how the hell did you get pregnant with her? I know you didn’t do it yourself.” Jet hissed back.
“Don’t start with me right now Jet, I’ve gotta get her home and in bed. I’ve gotta get up tomorrow to work!”
“I thought you were off tomorrow.”
“I had to get another job, I’ve got bills to pay and things to take care of.”
“You’ve already got two jobs, this third one’s gunna kill you! Faye if you needed the money I could’ve helped ya out.” Jet looked at her worriedly.
“I’m doing just fine on my own, Jet. I’ve got to go.” Faye walked to the living room and kneeled before the couch. She scooped up Spyke gingerly trying not to wake her. Spyke twitched slightly but stayed sound asleep
