The basic story of Beyblade starts out with how Tyson, the main character of the show, who crosses paths with Max, Ray and Kai and form a team called the BladeBreakers where they strive out to face the many challenges and achievements ahead of them while meeting friends and foes along the way.
The show isn't only about beyblading but about the trust and companionship of friends and the morals of life. It also has some magical insight to the bitbeasts who harbour in some blades, such as Tyson's and his friends.
Over the three seasons many of the adversaries and tournaments change with new friends along the way, but the old gang is there to stay.

Most likely the main character of the show, Tyson is a kid who is obsessed with beyblading. He also seems like one of those casual hot headed characters at times and is full of determination too.
During the passing season Tyson has become the Beyblade World Champion and everyone seems to want to take his title. In beyblading Tyson usually relies on his skill, natural talent and is usually on the attack but during certain times when it gets through to him if he's doing something wrong, he puts faith in himself and his bitbeast, Dragoon, to overcome the opposition. He also is a pretty loyal friend and gives advice and help to those who need it.
Tyson is one kid that's hard to put down and he will stand up for what he believes in and for that in his friends, showing us what true morals some people have.

One of the friendlier members of the group, Max usually most of the time has a smile on his face and is always encouraging the others with advice and helpful tips whenever they feel down. He's rarely down himself but when he is he bounces back just as quickly.
Max got his bitbeast, Draciel, from his grandmother, that was in a pendant. He actually leanred of its power in his first duel with Kai and even though he lost, he gota bitbeast in the process.
Unlike Tyson, who likes using head on attacks, Max's strategy is being defensive. And it usually serves him well unless his opponent is very strong.
Over all Max is a key member to the team and a very good friend to the others and would never let them down.
