Have you ever desired to share your imagination with another?
Being human (no offense intended by this assumption!), you must have felt this desire
at some point in your life- if not every day, as some of us do. This wish to share feelings and imagination... powerful or subtle, mostly ordinary, or wildly extraordinary... is a wish at the heart of every artist. Should the said artist
make their imprint with ink, graphite, paint, clay, or a lot of seemingly drab words on an otherwise ordinary scroll of parchment, the purpose is the same. You know this, perhaps, but have not felt
yet the satisfaction of impressing an audience with your own creations.
And so, now that you are here with us, we invite you to use any ability you may have as writer or unrealized artist to impress us all with the fruits of your own creation.
And should you feel uncomfortable with sharing yourself so openly, as of yet, please enjoy the work of others as it was intended to be enjoyed, and lose yourself in one of a billion universes
that exist within the mind of another!
And so, we bring you Sylvan Darius' Worlds of Wonder.
This place is meant to be a theater of an entirely new type. Those who visit will be able to view the endeavors of those altogether unused to sharing their art
and imagination with the rest of the world... the result is, as you may guess, a realm unlike any other.
We envision this site becoming a great repository, a veritable colosseum of imagination... fantasies from the world around will be shared, and artists and writers across our globe will find this to be
a place for easy and uncompromised release of their creativity. Until this level is reached, we will remain as a small community of fantasy lovers.
Some suggestions for what we would like to display on our site:
- Novellas, vignettes, or short stories
- Other written forms, i.e. in-depth RPG character histories
- Visual art
- Suggestions for good music to read by, or your own compositions
Remember, if someone else had written it and you wouldn't spend the time to read it, then it may not be appropriate to share!
