Presently, we have one Bible study that meets weekly at a Set Free member home. We meet on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. All believers in the Lord Jesus are welcome, as we are one body in Christ.
Our Bible study is in-depth, and, regardless of what topic, or book or chapter of the Bible we are studying, we do our best to discern how it relates to the person of Jesus Christ, to the character of God, and to the Kingdom of God.
Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God, and instructed us to proclaim it as well, but few in the church today understand what it means and how it operates. Jesus said that the way into the Kingdom of God is narrow (constricted, squeezed), and that few find it. Set Free exists for the purpose of bringing as many as possible into the fullness and abundance of the Kingdom of God.
We also seek in our Bible study to discern what the Word says about things that the traditional church has ritualized and brought into the domain of the traditions of man. For example, we study the Bible to see what it really says about women’s participation in the assembly, the Lord’s Supper, baptism, worker models such as pastor, deacon, elder and apostle, and much more. We seek to strip away the layers of concept and regulation that are not found in the Bible, always with the goal of greater understanding and a higher walk as citizens of the Kingdom of God (Eph. 2:19).
