While Sesshoumaru hadn't quite recovered fully, he was still well enough to order Miyae out of the castle.
"If it weren't for you Father would still be alive," he had told her. "The only reason I don't kill you now is because you're carrying his child. Take your possessions and leave. Hope that we never meet again, or I may change my mind and take you life."
<I suppose he has every right to be angry with me. Kenaruji-sama *was* trying to protect me. Sesshoumaru, himself, almost got killed. I just wish things could be different.>
"Everything is ready, Miyae-sama," said one of the servant.
"Arigatou," Miyae replied with a small smile. She allowed him to help her onto the carriage.
"Perhaps the young master will change his mind," the servant said. "Maybe you will be able to come back."
"I hope so," Miyae replied. Although she knew it would never happen.
"Is it okay if some of come visit you, Miyae-sama?"
"Of course. I'd like that."
"Sayonara, Miyae-sama,
"Sayonara," Miyae replied.
<Kenaruji-sama. I'm so sorry. I won't be able to keep my promise to look after Sesshoumaru-kun.> He hand went to her belly. <But I will take care of Inu Yasha. I'll give our child enough love for the both of us.>
She looked up at castle and was a bit surprised to see Sesshoumaru watching her from a window. He had an impassive look on his face and she found herself unable to even begin to guess what he was thinking or feeling.
<Sesshoumaru-kun. You've been through so much, losing you mother and your father. I hope someday you'll find peace.>
She felt the carriage lurch and faced forward and it moved away from the castle.

A/N: One more thing, I got the title from the second ending song from Inu Yasha by Do As Infinity (a great song by a great group). It doesn't really have anything to do with the fic, I just couldn't think of anything else. If you have another suggestion, please tell me. If I use your title, you'll get full credit.
As far as I know, Inu Yasha's parents are never named in the manga. Kenaruji literally means "Dog Lord". I forgot what Miyae means, but I think it has 'princess' in there somewhere ^^.
