1..FEMALE SEX ORGANS
![]()

Female's sexual organs are divided into 3 parts:
1) External sexual
organs
2) Internal sexual
organs
3) Breasts
1) External sexual organs
External sexual organs of female body consists of following parts:
a) External genitalia (Vulva):
Vulva includes the following parts in the external genital organs of female:-
Mons pubis:
It is the rounded fatty mass over the pubis covered with skin and has hairs on
it. It is more prominent at puberty and becomes less prominent after menopause.
Labia majora (Outer lips):
It is a bilateral structure made up of the folds of the skin, that joins in the
midline and gives an appearance of a narrow slit when woman is in standing
posture. The outer skin becomes covered with hair at puberty while inner surface
remains hairless. At puberty labia majora becomes prominent due to collection of
fatty tissue and becomes dark in color. It contains fatty tissues and glands.
Labia minora (Inner lips):
It is a bilateral structure made up of folds of the skin, which lies between and
inside of Labia majora. Both the folds unite in the front near clitoris. It
contains veins, elastic tissue and glands but no fat or hairs.
Clitoris:
It is around 2.5-cm. long erectile structure in female and similar in the
function as to penis in erection. It consists of two parts such as glans, which
is rounded and body, which is long. It contains various nerve endings, which
causes increased blood flow in the clitoris causing erection of clitoris during
intercourse and plays important part in inducing orgasm in female. After orgasm
clitoris returns to its original size.
External urethral orifice:
It lies below the clitoris and above the vaginal orifice. It is a small opening
for flowing urine out in female.
Vaginal orifice:
Immediately below the urethral orifice there is a vagina orifice which is a
opening to the vaginal canal of female.
Hymen:
Its name has been given after a Greek god of marriage. Hymen is the incomplete
membrane, which guards the vagina. It consists of double layered tissue and has
a small opening, which usually can not even admit a fingertip. It contains tiny
blood vessels and so when hymen ruptures during sexual intercourse it causes
bleeding. Its size varies in different females. Sometimes it breaks during
strenuous activities such as sports or accidents. But it is elastic in nature so
in rare cases it can be ruptured only after childbirth.
Bartholin's glands:
They are bilateral, oval, pea-sized glands lying one on each side of the vaginal
opening below labia majora. These glands secrete mucus after sexual stimulation,
which acts as lubricating fluid during sexual intercourse.
2) Internal sexual organs
Internal sexual organs of the female consists of following parts:
Vagina:
Vagina is a 3 to 4 inches deep canal extending upwards and inwards, from vulva
to the cervix. Vaginal orifice lies below the urethra and above the anus. It is
made up of elastic tissue and can expand to a considerable extent. This canal is
used for intercourse as well as it is also the canal for the childbirth. It
receives the penis during intercourse and it is the first structure to receive
the spermatozoa from male. The vaginal canal has its own self cleansing
mechanism and it has normal bacteria that produces lactic acid which does not
allow other bacteria to survive which may enter in the vagina.
Cervix:
It is at the upper end of the vaginal canal and forms the narrow neck of the
uterus. Cervix secretes mucus, which is alkaline in nature and looks like an
unboiled white of an egg. It secretes 20 to 60 mg. of mucus per day, which
increases to 700 mg. of mucus per day during menstruation.
Uterus:
The uterus is also known as womb. It is the organ responsible for menstruation,
sperm transport, embryo embedding and child bearing. It measures 3 inches in
length, 2 inches in breadth and 1 cm. thick. It is also made up of elastic
tissue that facilitates expansion to a great extent. A tissue known as
endometrium lines it inside. Its thickness varies according to days of the
menstrual cycle. It has two main parts, body and fundus.
Fallopian tubes:
There are two fallopian tubes, one on each side that arises from the uterus and
has opening into the close approximation of the two ovaries on their
corresponding side. It surrounds and envelops the ovaries. Each tube is around 4
inches long and 1/3 inch broad. They are hollow muscular tubes responsible for
transport of the ovum, fertilization of the ovum, and transport of fertilized
ovum to the uterus. If there is any blockage in these tubes then fertilization
is not possible unless proper treatment.
Ovaries:
Ovaries are two glands situated one on either side and are responsible for
production of sex hormones and ovum.It measures around 1-½ inches in length and
½ inches in breadth. It contains many microscopic ova, which are partially
developed and present since birth. After puberty when menstruation starts, an
ovum starts getting matured with every menstrual cycle and gets released from
the ovary. This process is known as ovulation. It occurs regularly every month
during the reproductive life of a woman.
3) Breasts
Breasts are paired organ lie over the pectoral muscles of the chest of females.
It is rudimentary in size in children but develops in size after puberty. It is
made up of glandular and adipose tissue and fat. Its size varies from person to
person and her genetic make up. Beast is divided into following parts:
Nipples:
They are small projectile structures near the center of the breast and are
responsible for the outlet of milk from the milk ducts. In lactating woman, milk
from the mammary glands and milk ducts reaches the nipple when baby sucks the
nipple. It is very sensitive to touch during sexual excitement as it has many
nerve endings which makes the nipples erect during sexual excitement.
Areola:
They are the small circular rings of the pigmented skin surrounding the nipples.
The color of the nipples and areola varies according to the complexion of the
woman and pigmentation.
Milk glands:
There are numerous milk glands in each breast that secretes the milk under the
effect of female hormones. The size of the breast is not related to the amount
of milk secretion in lactating woman.
Milk ducts:
There are numerous milk ducts in each breast that is responsible for carrying
milk from the milk glands to the nipples.

Improved Condom for Women
Canadian researchers have successfully developed an
invisible condom, which they claim is a potential security against HIV and
herpes transmission. The condom which is a microbicide gel is almost ready for
use in humans. The inventors of this invisible condom say that the new product
will give women a better control over their health, and may prove to be a
barrier against sexually transmitted diseases and possibly even the sperm.
This gel is an odourless liquid, but after application and contact with body
heat it forms a consistent protective layer. It is even capable of effectively
penetrating into the smallest crevices and does not leak. This gel will also
protect against infections and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Are you shy to talk about
Orgasm? Read This.
Orgasm in male is the ejaculation of the semen into
vagina by rhythmic contraction of the muscles of the penis, which leads to
physical and mental pleasure. In males orgasm consists of two different phases,
but in most of the males it can be felt together. First is stage of "emission"
when prostate and other internal organs force their secretion fluids inside the
urethra and after which ejaculation is about to take place. And next is the
stage of "contraction" which follows after a few seconds when muscles of the
penis and urethra force the semen out of the urethra resulting into ejaculation.
While orgasm in female is rhythmic contraction of the muscles around vagina
rapidly from 5 to 12 or more, rapidly following each other with similar mental
and physical pleasure.
Q.How many times does male and female achieve orgasm during sexual
intercourse?
Male can achieve orgasm only once when penis dilates and ejaculates semen inside
the vagina. While female can achieve orgasm multiple times usually when vaginal
contraction takes place 5 to12 times or more with a gap of a second, during the
intercourse.
Q.Why female is lucky to have orgasm multiple times?
Male can achieve orgasm only once as penis comes to its normal state from the
state of erection after the ejaculation ending with orgasm and male enters into
"refractory phase" which can last from a few minutes to more time and another
orgasm is not possible until "refractory phase" subsides. While in case of
female vaginal contractions takes place 5 to 12 times or more with the series of
succession of the vaginal contraction following rapidly one after another.
Q.Is it always necessary to achieve orgasm during intercourse?
It may not be possible to achieve orgasm each and every time as in case of male
if the intercourse prolongs and he has to withdraw the penis before for any
reason, before ejaculation takes place. And in case of female when male
ejaculates too early before the vaginal contraction takes place. But what is
important is the satisfaction so if you can get the satisfaction without orgasm
then you should not worry about it.
Q.What should be done to achieve the orgasm?
Both the partners should be free from mental or physical stress. Male should use
and local anaesthetic gel to prevent the early ejaculation or other methods as
described in the topic "Premature ejaculation" and should try to stimulate
clitoris simultaneously while doing the intercourse.

Impotence : INTRODUCTION
Also called erectile dysfunction, impotence is the consistent
inability to achieve or sustain an erection that will allow for sexual
intercourse. The erection may be too weak, too brief, or too painful. Impotence
affects 10 to 20 million men in the United States. In fact, it is responsible
for more than half a million doctors' visits each year.
Contrary to popular myth, psychological factors alone cause only 10%-20% of
cases of impotence. The vast majority of causes are physical and treatable. In
fact, 95% of men who receive treatment are eventually able to achieve
satisfactory sexual function.
Pronunciation:
IM-po-tense
Description:
Doctors now use the term "erectile dysfunction" rather than "impotence" to
define problems with erections. It better describes the problem physically and
helps to distinguish erection problems from other sexual dysfunctions, such as:
Loss of libido:
Lack of interest in sexual relations.
Loss of emission:
Lack of urethral secretions, prostatic, or seminal fluid.
Retrograde ejaculation:
Ejaculate is not emitted but instead it is refluxed (backs up) into the
urinary bladder.
Loss of orgasm:
Loss of the pleasurable sensations and rhythmic contractions that culminate
sexual response.
Premature ejaculation:
Ejaculation before sexual arousal is complete.
To better understand impotence, it's helpful to fully understand the anatomy
of the penis and male sexual response. Two chambers filled with spongy tissue,
called the corpora cavernosa, run the length of the penis. A membrane called
the tunica albuginea surrounds them both. The urethra, which emits urine and
semen from the body, runs beneath the corpora cavernosa.
An erection can result from either thinking or dreaming of sex, or direct
stimulation of the genitals, although most of the time both sources of
stimulation come into play. In a man without impotence, such stimulation
prompts brain impulses that tell the muscles of the corpora cavernosa to
relax. Blood then begins to fill the spongy tissue, causing the penis to
expand. The tunica albuginea then contracts, trapping the blood inside the
penis and sustaining erection. In healthy sexual response, the process usually
doesn't reverse until just after ejaculation, when the corpora cavernosa
muscles contract, stopping the inflow of blood, and the tunica albuginea
create resistance, allowing the blood to flow back into the body.
As you can see, attaining and maintaining an erection is a complex series of
events, involving nerve impulses in the brain, genitals, and spinal column and
requiring response from the muscles, veins, arteries, and fibrous tissues in
or near the corpora cavernosa. A disruption of any one of these events can
cause impotence.
Impotence has many causes, most of them physical, such as diabetes;
alcoholism; drug side effects or illicit drug use; vascular, thyroid, or nerve
disorders; prostate surgery or disease; spinal cord or genital trauma; and
hormonal abnormalities.
Psychological causes include depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem,
lack of sexual information, poor relationship with sexual partner, and
psychosis.
Untreated, impotence may only worsen, since inability to achieve an erection
can cause performance anxiety which, in itself, can cause impotence.
Nonetheless, even if left untreated, impotence will stop in about 15% of those
men affected.
How Common Is Erectile Dysfunction?
About one in 10 men report having impotence, but more have it and do not
report it. Teenage boys and younger adults report impotence, but it is most
common in men over age 45. Between 15%-25% of 65-year-old men may have
impotence. Even though it becomes more common with age, aging itself does not
cause impotence; instead, underlying problems such as arteriosclerotic
vascular disease which often occur in older men, can cause impotence.

vaginal opening but it is not always true. We have to rely on the honesty of the
female in regards to her saying.
Does the absent or ruptured
hymen of the female indicate that she is not virgin?
No. Because hymen is a thin membrane which
can be ruptured by strenuous activities such as sports or by accident or a fall.
In some females it is absent since birth. Similarly presence of hymen not always

a size of a pea, which is made up of erectile tissue situated in the vagina
where outer lips (labia major) unite at the top. Clitoris in a female has a
function of erection after stimulation similar to that in male and is very
sensitive. They also caress and massage breasts, vaginal lips and fantasize
about sex.

should continue messaging the clitoris with the finger. When tension starts
building around the vaginal area with the sensation of warmth and feeling of
vaginal wetness, she should not stop messaging the clitoris. After sometime,
clitoris becomes so much sensitive that it remains sensitive even if she stops
messaging the clitoris and finally she starts feeling orgasm with the waves of
contraction of vaginal muscles.
Does masturbation changes
the size of vagina?
No. Masturbation never changes the size of
the vagina. Erection of the clitoris, change in the color of the sexual organs
during masturbation is due to sexual stimulation and it is temporary phase after
which it again returns to its normal state.

should not remain under stress after continuing sexual relationship otherwise
she can develop psychological disorder like depression.
Does it hurt if teen-age
girl goes for the sex for the first time?
There may be slight bleeding and pain,
which can be bearable. But if the partner is rough and in hurry to penetrate the
penis into the vagina before lubrication takes place then due to the friction,
the severity of pain can be more and it can turn into nightmare instead of
enjoying the sex.
Which position is ideal for
the teen-age girl to do sex?
The decision of ideal position is based on
understanding of both the partners that which position will suit them. But
ideally “female on top position” will prove to safe as it will allow a girl to
make the entry of penis into vagina after lubrication and she can control the
speed of the thrust of the penis causing minimal pain.
Why does vagina gets wet
when she gets sexual excitement?
After sexual excitement, vagina starts
secreting a lubricating fluid from the glands situated in the vaginal. This
function is similar to an erection in male, which occurs after sexual
excitement. This lubrication will make the entry of penis into vagina much
easier and smoothly.
How many times does male and
female achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse?
Male can achieve orgasm only once when
penis dilates and ejaculates semen inside the vagina. While female can achieve
orgasm multiple times usually when vaginal contraction takes place 5 to12 times

comes to its normal state from the state of erection after the ejaculation
ending with orgasm and male enters into “refractory phase” which can last from a
few minutes to more time and another orgasm is not possible until “refractory
phase” subsides. While in case of female vaginal contractions takes place 5 to
12 times or more with the series of succession of the vaginal contraction
following rapidly one after another.

achieve orgasm during intercourse?
It may not be possible to achieve orgasm
each and every time as in case of male if the intercourse prolongs and he has to
withdraw the penis before for any reason, before ejaculation takes place. And in
case of female when male ejaculates too early before the vaginal contraction
takes place. But what is important is the satisfaction so if you can get the
satisfaction without orgasm then you should not worry about it.
What should be done to
achieve the orgasm?
Both the partners should be free from
mental or physical stress. Male should use and local anaesthetic gel to prevent
the early ejaculation or other methods as described in the topic “Premature
ejaculation” and should try to stimulate clitoris simultaneously while doing the
intercourse.

the partners feel at ease and mentally and physically prepared they can do the
intercourse irrespective of time.
Is there any influence of
any dietary factors on the performance of sex?
No there is no influence of any dietary
factors on the performance of sex. But excess of alcoholic drinks can increase
the desire but reduce the performance by reducing the erection of penis. Some
times starving for long time and overeating can reduce the performance but not
always.
Is there any relation
between the time of ovulation for female and her sexual performance?
Ovulation means the time when ovum
releases from the ovary and that time is considered as best for the
fertilization
Is it true that making
frequent sexual intercourse can make a person physically weak?
No making frequent sexual intercourse can
never make any one physically weak but someone if mislead by myth can feel
psychologically so but with proper explanation he can overcome this problem.
