| Hey, welcome to the site! Broken Chains is a Christian hard rock band out of Mandeville, LA; just 26 miles north of New Orleans. Their mission is to spread God's word through music. The band has been compared to such bands as Plankeye, The Juliana Theory, Creed, Fanmail, Green Day, Nirvana, and early Blink182. They formed on May 24, 1998, starting off as a secular band and eventually turned into a Christan band in 1999, with the name Serving Him. They have opened for the following bands: The Waiting, Smalltown Poets, Jeni Varnadeu, The Nobodys, and Mary's Den. All of the band members strongly believe in the word of God, and are committed to bringing the lost closer to Him. |
