While we were out in MA, we had to visit my puppy raiser and his fiance, Elissa. I was so happy to see them! They took us out to breakfast and then we went to the puppy halloween party. I won BEST COSTUME, I was dressed as a fireman and it was also the most meaningful because Ken is a fireman. Heather had training Saturday afternoon and then we went out to dinner with the other reps and then to the symphony.
Sunday we went to graduation and saw a bunch of our old friends. We talked with my trainer, Brian, Kristen with Canines for Disabled Kids and many other friends from NEADS. Heather helped sell raffle tickets for the Grand Prize of 300 MA lottery tickets! After graduation, I got to see my first set of grandparents. I was so happy to see them, Grandma really did spoil me when I lived in MA. Ken and Elissa brought us back to the firestation and we saw my firefighter friends again. I didn't stay too long to unlearn all that I learned though. We went back to Ken and Elissa's new house, had dinner and waited for trick & treaters who never showed up.
Monday was a day full of meetings and travel back home. Heather is very excited and proud to be the MN state representative for NEADS/Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans. You are probably wondering what this position entails. Well, she will be the go between for potential clients for service dogs, she will make presentations to Workplace Campaigns and also to potential donors.
