Although it breaks my heart (and SpiceGem's, no doubt) to even contemplate Melanie in the arms of another woman, I have compiled these lists of potential partners (and no-nos!) for her in order for you to see that she would, without doubt, suit being with a girl!! More importantly though, Melanie really deserves a gorgeous girlfriend, and we need to convince her to GO AND GET ONE!!!

This is something I have given much thought....

Please, don't think of these as being fantasies of mine, I don't dream about Mel being with a woman all day, you know! (..well, only me!)

By the way, I hope to offend nobody with this page, it's all just a bit of fun!!

I will begin with my initial thoughts...

1> MADONNA

Mel has been a fan since childhood and obviously looks up to her a great deal. We all know Madonna's sexuality is, let's say, ambiguous, but wouldn't Mads be a bit too domineering for Mel..... she might walk all over her... (and we can't 'av that!)

2>SHIRLEY MANSON (GARBAGE)

Hmmmmm, a definate favourite of mine, not sure if they'd suit though... I reckon Shirley's a bit too open for Mel. I mean, we all know she's had a few escapades with women in the past

3> SKIN (SKUNK ANANSIE)

Out and proud is our Skin, they might work as a couple, but visually may look a bit odd....Actually, second thoughts, they'd look cool!!

4> GERI

I think Mel & Ms Haliwell were very close - Mel would be so lovely to Geri (and vice-versa), she'd really look after her. She always used to carry Geri's bags and stuff for her....Ah what a sweetie that girl is!!

5> SPICEGEM OR ME

Hmmmm, what delightful thoughts - I guess that's all they'll ever be though!!

DEFINATE NO-NOS

1> LOUISE NURDLING --- Need I say more???

2> BJORK --- Nah!!

3> MELISSA MESSINGER --- apart from making Mel feel inferior, a definate mismatch

4> MARIAH CAREY --- even though she admires Mel's talent, she's TOO WET!!

5> ZOE BALL --- You're too tall!!

So, who's left?

I think ideally, Mel would suit someone out of the public eye. She's shy and needs her privicy - the last thing she would want is for her tale of lesbian love splashed all over the tabloids (Matthew Wright would have a field day, though!)
