This is Ron's second year as president of the Jacksonville Gay Chorus. He has lived in Jacksonville for approximately 20 years where he has founded and still operates a court reporting and legal services firm. The firm has been located in downtown Jacksonville for those 20 years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the University of North Florida. Ron has been married to the Membership Chair, Chuck O'Connor, for the last 11 years. He also has a son and a daughter who have, between them, provided him with 5 grandchildren. Ron and Chuck saw the chorus perform at the Jacksonville Landing about 4 years ago and decided to get involved. Since then, Ron has been actively involved in helping the chorus grow. He usually sings baritone for the group, but you may sometimes see him assuming a tenor role. Ron is originally from Michigan and is a disabled veteran, serving in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam war. He has also spent time in Texas and California.
