So it was my first Gay Pride Parade in NYC, not to mention it was the last one of the Century. So I took the day off and headed into the city by train. After an uneventful ride I found the staging area for the athletic groups. I met up with the Front Runners of NYC, thus beginning my photo-essay.		The Pride Parade is held to commemorate the stonewall Riots, which opened the door to political activism and began the struggle for gay rights.
