    CURRENT ENGAGEMENTS

This is from when Marc Heustis let me open up for Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the castro Theater. I'll never forget it, thanx , Marc.
  • a "Sorted." review from England...

Of the two "HCC" seems like the poppier track, with its catchy chorus, whereas "Timeworks" strikes me as more dance orientated, with its driving beat. The vocals on it seem a bit strange as well, with the lead ones being in each channel, and the second vocal being in the middle when it comes in. This is something which i think works well, but it takes a bit of getting used to. "Something Happening" is my favourite track, and the gentle guitars and doomy bass line create an almost hypnotic effect. It doesn't seem to change much musically all the way through, but far from being a problem, this actually seems to add to the overall impact of the song. "All The Way" closes the cd on a gentle note, with its simple acoustic guitar/vocals format, but again it works well. Taking into account the various styles covered on "Sorted" I am not sure what to expect from an MT album, but I would certainly like to hear more. Many thanks, Allan
