The first thing you need to know is that Laura doesn't really exist as a separate
person. It took me a long time to figure this out but it's true. Laura is
just another
way that I express myself. I'm a father, a husband, a business man, a musician,
and lots of other things in addition to being Laura.
I hate labels but I gues you could call me a "T" something. I know I am not a transsexusl.
I've gone down that avenue and realized that it wasn't the road for
me (matching
metaphors! Cool!).
I've been exploring my femininity for a lo.o.ong time. I hit the big five oh this
year and I have been dressing in various degress since I can remember (I
lived
in the SF Bay Area in the sixties and seventies so my memory may not be all
it could be!).
I am happily married with two children, a boy age 6 and a girl 9. My wife has
known Laura since before we were married and has always been 100% supportive.
She doesn't always understand where I'm coming from but, hey!, niether
do I!
I get to fully express my "Lauraness" only occassionally now, as my kids don't
know and, since I made the mistake of not letting them grow up with Laura
as
part of their lives from the beginning, I have no intention of telling them
until they are a lot more worldly (say 35 or so!)
