My Views on Child Abuse
It's bad enough that rape exists in the world. Women and men all around the planet fall victim to rape everyday. However, other sick and demented people get their kicks through the rape and/or molestation of defenseless children, often very small children who aren't even aware of their own rights as humans.
I don't see how anyone can condone the act of sexually molesting a young girl or boy who is still learning about and exploring her/his surroundings and environment. Such demeaning acts on a young child will severely traumatize her or him, and hinder her/his development.
Of course, I am speaking in terms of sexual abuse. Forcing intercourse upon a young boy or girl can lead to the transmission of AIDS-HIV or other STDs in a young child. Furthermore, making unsolicited sexual advances upon any person, young or old, is a violation of that person's freedom.
Child molestors can be virtually anyone. Male or female, young or old, no matter what race, sexual orientation, or religion, no person has the right to engage in the rape/molestation of a child (nor a teenager or adult). Whether the molestor is related by blood or law to his/her victim or not, child abusers should fall subject to stringent and severe punishments as their actions are a form of rape.
Circumcising young baby males is NOT child abuse. Some people claim that circumcising isn't necessary. But circumcisions are a sensible medical precaution of removing the foreskin of a baby boy's penis before he can develop memories of such a surgical procedure. The foreskin is removed to prevent future infection so a male doesn't have to risk being circumcised when he's older. Foreskin removal also allows for better purposes of aesthetics and hygiene. HAVE YOUR SON CIRCUMCISED!
Based on what I've read about female circumcisions, they have no valid medical purpose and are therefore abusive.
No matter who a child abuser is, no child should endure such intrusive harassment from an older person.
And no, the circumcision of males is not child abuse.
