LIKE A PRAYER was widely considered Madonna's most confessional album. Coming on the heels of her divorce to Sean Penn, Madonna was at a vulnerable point in her life and if you listen to this album you can hear her true emotions come out. There aren't too many of what one would call love songs on this album only "Cherish" would barely fit that description. This album features the hit "Like A Prayer" whose video caused Madonna to lose an endorsement deal with Pepsi because of it's content. Other standout tracks include: "Promise Tp Try," "Dear Jessie," and "Spanish Eyes," In addition to the hits "Express Yourself" and "Keep it Together."
