More About Me
Well hmmmm....I don't know what else to say about myself. I guess I will tell you about my hobbies.
My favorite hobby right now is my bowling. I have been on a gay bowling league for almost 2 years now. Next year I will be bowling with the same people I bowled with this year. We took 2nd place out of 23 teams. It was a lot of fun and perhaps there were times when we thought more about our drinking than our bowling. But all in all we had a great time. I don't think we took it as serious as some and that is why we had such a blast and still finished in a good position.
I have also bowled in a few gay tournaments but as yet have not done so well. But I will continue doing the PRIT tournament here in Phoenix and hopefully I will be going to the one in San Diego. I have also heard that the one is Las Vegas is a blast to go to as well, so we shall see.
I also like to rollerblade. It's a good form of exercise and let's you have time to think as you are rolling along. I usually blade at a place in Scottsdale (Indian Bend park). You will usually see me there later at night because I go after work. I'm by no means an expert at it. You won't see me taking jumps and doing crazy things. I just consider myself lucky if I don't fall on my butt! *smile*
I like to write poetry. I have written quite a bit of it over the years. I regret not saving copies of some of the earlier stuff now. But oh well...can't dwell on it. And besides, no one but me would probably like it. The topics of them varied from very dark to happiness and love. Depended on the phase my life was in I guess. They are a look into my soul though, they are who I am. Maybe one day I will create a link to them and put a few on here. But as for now....they are locked away somewhere safe. It's been a while since I have written anything. I should do more of it. It's not like I don't have anything to write about.
Have you been bored to sleep yet? No? Then let's continue......on to the more juicier stuff then.
The four most important people in my life:
My Mother - She has got to be one of the most wonderful people in the whole world. And I am not just saying that either. I have met very few Mother's like her. I think my friends are a little envious. My mother and I can talk about anything, and I mean ANYTHING. She is the one I got my strength from, she is my inspiration. I love you mom with all my heart and soul.
Ken - Ken is my youngest brother. He is also like my best friend. We do a lot of things together. He is always there when I need him and I am there for him. He is the one that helped me the most after my 12 year relationship ended. He was the one that stopped me from crawling into a hole and becoming a hermit from the world. No one could ask for a more supportive brother than him.
Greg - Greg is my best friend. We have known each other for quite some time. He knows practically everything there is to know about me. Conversations just flow between us. And we rarely skip a beat. We can go from talking very serious to being goofy in a heartbeat, then back to being serious again. I think everyone needs a friend like him. He is very easy to bounce thoughts off of.
Wendy - Wendy is a young woman who I used to work with. She had practically become my daughter though, which is okay with me, even though if you do the math, it's not possible. She is a 22 year old woman who is emotionally mentally handicapped. I took her under my wing at work and we have been good friends ever since. She sends me Father's day cards each year. I am very proud of her. She has finally started college classes. She has come a long way from the person I first met.
There are many other important people in my life, so please don't feel bad if I left you out. You know who you are and you hold a special place in my heart. *smile*
