God's Voice

The voice of God can be heard
like the songs of a bird in the tree
and felt like the touch of a gentle breeze
it can be seen in the depths of a blue sky
you can smell it in the scent of a flower
and taste it in clear cool water.

He spoke and his word went out
to make all these things come to be
a voice that can turn chaos into perfection
yet as soft as a fluffy white cloud
look and feel and listen to God
his voice is in all things that he created.

With his own hands he created his children
from the dirt of the earth we were born
he breathed into us his spirit
giving us a soul that thinks and creates
he taught us his love and his word
and gave us freedom to learn and to grow.

His voice can be heard in our hearts
like a warm and tender caress
a feeling of peace that surrounds us
and guides us in all that we do
but his children are given in freedom
the choice to accept or refuse it.

God is love and love comes from the heart
when you are searching for an answer
you only have to look within yourself
for there is where you will find him
so trust in the lord and in your heart
and in all things let love be your guide.
