I. Pan

by Jeremy Wayne Couch

Come dance with me, my pretty one,
beneath the moon, below the sun,
And I will steal a kiss from you
before our dance is done.

Come dance with me atop the flowers
among the raindrops dancing showers,
And I will steal a kiss from you
and countless more throughtout the hours.

Come dance with me before daylight,
just you, and I, and the night,
And I will steal a kiss from you
in the dark or in starlight.

Come dance with me while the music plays
while naiads and dryads sing serenades,
And I will steal a kiss from you
and return it gladly ere the music fades.
