Portraits of Dee

Hold that gut in, sailor!

That's better!

These pictures were taken in May 1999, while visiting Orlando, Florida. You'd not know that from anything else, since they were taken in my hotel room! Later pictures don't chop off the top of my head. I needed to find a better place to hang my arms -- "gorilla style" doesn't seem too flattering. Looking at the pictures does help one learn, though.

I used the self-timer on my camera to take these pictures. I took the film to the nearby Walgrens (they had a one-hour service), and dropped them off while I went to the K-mart for some sewing supplies to fix the elastic on one of these shoes. When I returned to the hotel, I noticed they had a scanner in their business center, but the ladies didn't know how to run it. I offered training in how to set up and use their scanner while I was scanning a few snapshots, and they happily accepted. I was able to upload these pictures before I even left my hotel for home.

They became interested in the pictures I was scanning and we had a nice discussion about cross dressing (I thought so, anyway), and they were very friendly when I stuck my head into their center to say good-bye as I was checking out.

I'll apologize now for the relatively sparse and uninteresting text in this section, but it is just there to keep the pictures from banging into each other and give you an idea of what I'm wearing and where I got it.

The outfit I'm wearing here includes a white ribby turtleneck top from The Limited, a pretty short red skirt made of Lycra and cotton, which is starting to get way too big. I'm glad to say that's not the skirt's fault. Pantyhose are Leggs Reliance in Suntan, and the strappy sandals are from Payless Shoe Source. Foundations by Maidenform.

Makeup includes Total Finish Compact Makeup from Merle Norman, Illegal Lengths Mascara from Maybelline, Rose Illusion Powder Rich Eye Shadow and Candied Rose Blushing Powder. The eye liner in light brown was also from Merle Norman. Lipcolor is Revlon Red, by (of course) Revlon.

Please don't fault the products -- fault the application. I know I've aged a little in the three years or so since the Glamour Shots portraits were taken, but these are the first photos of my own makeup work, and I'm going to have to improve it!
