A recent decision handed down by the judge of lower courts in Hawaii gives us hope. . .If only everyone realized that there is no compelling interest to discriminate against homosexuals seeking equal civil rights. If the Hawaii Supreme Court rules as it did in 1993, that prohibiting same-sex marriage is sexual discrimination and therefore against the constitutional Equal Rights provisions, then same-sex marriage will be legal in one of the fifty United States. This is our hope. We would like to see justice done for once in this assbackwards Xian society. Only time will tell. And then we will move on to more battles to uphold the Full Faith and Credit Clause. Loving v. Virginia, 1969, is going to become a sort of touch-stone for many in deciding this one.
