If you're reading this, its probably because you want to know more about me. First of all, what about the name? Well, carpe-ursum is a variant of "carpe diem" (seize the day) popularized in the film Dead Poet's Society. Ursum is the latin word for bear. As you may have guessed, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one.:-)) While it is a preference, it is not exclusive.
I'm a pretty independant kind of guy with lots of time to give...but none to waste. My interests include architecture, art and european history. So I love to travel. Music is a big part of my life as well. I like many kinds of music. My current favorite is Peter Gabriel. I like a lot of classical music as well, especially the German repertoire. I play keyboards and guitar...mainly pop and improvisation. I like to sing and have composed many a pop song as a hobby over the years. I keep pretty busy with my project manager job that I like very much. I also work out a couple of times a week at the gym and try to eat well as much as possible. Summer activities include hiking, biking and swimming, while in the winter, I pretty much limit myself to a few skiing outings. I'm originally from Montreal and still have my best friends there. But I'm starting to make a couple of new ones here in Ottawa as well.
EN FRANÇAIS: J'ai appris beaucoup de choses dans ma vie, mais je n'en ai vraiment compris que peu. Mais je crois que ce n'est pas toujours nécessaire de tout comprendre mais plutôt de pouvoir s'exprimer. Comme mon ami André dit: une vie harmonieuse exige quatre ingredients: 1) le respect, 2) l'indulgence, 3) l'humour et 4) l'amour.
