Hi! My name is Gertrude, and I am 64 and I live in Australia. This is my first attempt at building myself a web page, so wish me luck, I am going to need it. I have had a little help from my friends, pj456 and bomber62!

I am a widow of 16 years as my husband died back in 1982, he died in a train crash. It was a very hard time for me to cope with, but thanks to my wonderful family, things turned out right and I pulled through.

As you can probably tell, I adore bears and make them myself at home. I also like classical music, and my favourite song is Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I have three adorable cats, their names are patch, mittens and socks. I also have a fish, his name is Rastus, he is a goldfish!

I worked as a news agent until I turned 60, then I did what seemed to be a trend in us elderly folks, I retired! Retiring is not quite as good as I was hoping for it to be, but it also means I have more time to get out and about with friends.
