I am still amazed at the fact of how simular and different each dachshund's personality can be. We 3, all of them different. Yet Gretal, one of long-haired dachshunds, is almost precisely the same as you described Heidie.

I am writing to say I am in love with Heidi! I am a four year-old red with black fringe and overlay, longhaired mini. Looking at Heidi was sort of like looking in the mirror! I live with two girl dogs - Guenevere and Angel - who are both Shih Tzus. M
m says they're honorary Dachshunds because I've trained 'em right! My humans love me and say I'm the best dog in the world. My first family didn't think so, I guess, because they left me outside all the time and never got me my vaccinations or took me t
get neutered. They let me get covered with ticks and fleas, too. I never got enough to eat, either, and was about 2 1/2 pounds underweight. They told the shelter people my name was Dallas, but I never had learned it, which proves they never gave me any
attention. Those people finally decided to get rid of me and took me to the pound. I was about to be killed when my new mom and dad showed up and talked the shelter people into letting them take me. Boy, was I glad to meet them! Turns out I'd gotten Di
temper at the pound. I was very, very sick for about a month. My vet fought really hard to save me, my new people prayed for me a lot, and I made a full recovery! Now I weigh the 10 pounds my frame was meant to carry, have a full, beautiful, tick-free
oat, and get to live indoors. I am very smart and active and love to go for walks with my Shih Tzu sisters. We like to go to this park where a lot of other dogs bring their humans. Lots of those humans ask my mom and dad if I'm a show dog, because I'm

Great site!My Mother in law use to have a black&Tan mini dach. and in the winter if you left your coat on the couch she would crawl into the seleve and stick her little head out, she was acutie you have some cuties too.
