FROSTY

Feb.2,1977---Sept.10,1993

5 POUNDS OF PURE LOVE

(DAUGHTER FROSTY)....Frosty was a registered Maltese. She was definitely 5 pounds of pure love, which was how much she weighed. We adopted Frosty when she was only 3 years old from a couple that was getting a divorce and could not keep her, and Frosty really turned out to be the perfect dog. Frosty loved to play and bark. She had a way of letting you know when she wanted something or if she was hungry. Her way of talking to you just like a real person. Frosty had some medical problems right from the start, but that did not matter to us. From her medical problems she had lost all her teeth, so we had to make sure we cut her food up small so she could swallow it with out choking. But Frosty was well worth the little extra work it took to take good care of her. Frosty also had an enlarged heart, which was larger than her chest, so she was not able to breath like she should have been able to, but she was still so much full of life and love.Frosty never had any puppies, because of her health, but that was ok with us because she was our Baby, and We loved her so very much. Finally, one day Frosty had a heart attack and we lost her, And even though that she is no longer with us, We still think of her every day and, We miss Her so very much. But even though She is gone She is still in our minds , and in our hearts. This is why we are giving her this memorial, because we still love our baby Frosty and We miss her so much. She was a wonderful dog, and She gave us more than 5 pounds of her love. So pray for Frosty with us, and help us keep her memory alive. Thank You.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

GINGER

Sept.1,1976---Nov.28,1992

IN LOVING MEMORY

(DAUGHTER GINGER)....Ginger was a Cocker Spaniel , Dachshund mix. She had the short legs and long body of a Dachshund, and the face and ears of a Cocker Spaniel, with a beautiful red coat. She had a very laid back personality, nothing ever bothered her. She was always very happy and friendly, She loved everyone she met. We adopted Ginger from the San Diego Animal Shelter when she was only 7 weeks old. She became a wonderful and very smart companion for my family and I. Ginger had only one litter of puppies, which she had a total of 3 baby's. The three baby puppy's were also very beautiful. One puppy looked just like Ginger which we kept that puppy, and we named her Tasha. We could not believe just how much Tasha looked like Ginger, It was so hard to tell them apart. They would lay down alike, walk alike, everything they did was just like the other one. They were so cute. The other 2 puppies , We did find good loving homes for them and they were always happy. Tasha was hit by a car and killed when she was 11 months old. That really hurt my family and myself. I did not think We would ever get over that day. Ginger enjoyed doing tricks like jumping over a broom handle, rolling over, shaking hands, and playing ball in the park. Ginger was not just a dog, She was Our baby, a member of Our family, Our little Girl. So We ask after you read this and You see Ginger's pictures, please pray for Her. At the age of 16 years, Ginger had a stroke.Which she became totally blind, and completly deaf, and she could not walk, and was not able to do anything for herself. So the Doctor said there was nothing they could do for her. So We had to put Her to rest. That was the saddest day of our life. And We miss Her so very much.

ARMSTRONG COAT OF ARMS

ARMSTRONG

Family Name History

The Scottish surname Armstrong is a well-known border surname and is a literal translation of the Norman Fortenbras. It is of nickname origin, being derived from a personal attribute of the original bearer and the surname means simply one who is " strong in the arm ". This surname is also found in some number in the north of England. This surname is recorded as early as the thirteenth century and the Armstrongs were a major clan of the Lowlands of Scotland. One Adam Armstrong was pardoned of manslaughter in Carlisle in 1235, while one William Armstrong is noted in 1274 in Carlisle as serving on an inquisition. In 1328 one William Armstrong is known to have lent money to the King of Scotland, while in 1342 another loan was made to King David II by one Richard Harmestrang. In the sixteenth century the Armstrong clan was felt to be too powerful and was thought to be a source of embarrassment to King James V, who duly set about bringing the clan into line. An expedition disguised as a hunting tour arrived at the Armstrong seat and several ballads now relate how the Armstrongs, ready to welcome their King with a feast, suddenly found themselves under arrest. Notable bearers of this surname include Edwin Armstrong ( 1890-1954 ) whose work on the correction of static on the radio led to the creation of ( FM ) or Frequency Modulation. Other notables include Louis Armstrong ( 1900 - 1971 ), the American jazz trumpeter commonly known as Satchmo, Henry Jackson Armstrong ( b. 1912 ), the only boxer to hold three World Titles simultaneously, and Neil Alden Armstrong ( b. 1930 ), the American astronaut who was the first man to set foot on the moon on July 20,1969.
