Whether Pigott, Persons, Moore, Carson, Johnson, Morris, Rivers, Giles or Oliver our ancestral families are mostly from the British Isles. They typically immigrated in the 17th or 18th centuries to a southern colony - Virginia, the Carolinas or Georgia and later moved almost without exception southward and westward until the mid-19th century after which they remained somewhat more stable. In this century our immediate ancestors are from Columbia and Osceola Counties, Florida and Marion, Pike, and Walthall Counties, Mississippi.
Listed on the pages that follow are approximately 250 direct ancestors of our family. If any of these connect with your tree, please send us e-mail explaining your interest. We'll be happy to provide more information. We'd also like to know what information you may have.
