When Shane came runner up in the Ecko Clothing Limp Bizkit Tattoo Design Kompetition and walked into HARDCORE in Abbortsford he finally decided to follow his dream to create and fully design his own skate apparel label "Servant".
The name "Servant" initially originated form Shane's solid Christian beliefs, the desire to serve one another and to "serve the industry as best I can"
"It was the biggest pump to have come runner up out of the whole country in a design comp where the judge is actually Fred Durst!"
From this point on Shane's sole amibition was to get his dream off the ground. With some fantastic advice from Dave and Ben at Fourty Ounce skate shop in Kew, VIC, Shane perused and entered the Nescafe Big Break (he is in the top 300 finalists which is still in the process of being judged) and the Shell Live Wire Program which Shane was accepted into in July.
The program as well as the Nescafe Big Break are designed to kickstart small business ideas. "I've received so much knowledge form both of these fantastic opportunites, without the willingness of people to help other Aussie businesses out, I would be that one step further away from my dream"
