*As usual pls do give us a brief history of the band SPORE BLEEDING?
Actually , Spore Bleeding was a new RE-formed band after the drummer (Farouk) has left a Brutal Death Metal band from Ipoh (A city in Mal) named Abrogate since the band had problems with their line-ups , Farouk starts to migrate to Kuala Lumpur (Capital City) and found some new members which got the same interest to play gore/grind/metal . After a while , Farouk come back to his home town in Raub (A town in Mal) and met his old companion , Charlie (1st Guitar) and Hasby (2nd Guitar) which are from Farouk's old band , D.I.E Corporation (OldSchool Grindcore) and they're all moves to Kuala Lumpur and found themselves Dir (Bass) which were also would like to contribute to play with Spore Bleeding . After our 1st jamming sessions together , we took Adi and Feroz from Radiata (Noisegrind band) as our sessionist for the vocals . We're are : Adi and Feroz (Throats) , Charlie and Hasby (Guitars) , Dir (Bass) and Farouk (Drum and percussions)
*Describe your music to those who do not know about your band?
I think that we're NOT trying to label what kind of music that we're playing , but since after we played a couple of gigs around Kuala Lumpur , most of the crowds said that our band are playing Goregrind and it's true that we're playing these kind of music . Actually , we are trying to mix some brutal death + gore + grind and metal sounds to our music or easy to say that we're trying to create sounds that are "NON-MELODIC , NON CATCHY , NON-GALLOPPING AND OF COURSE NON-GAY VOCALS" We just want to play total extreme , noisy , gory and most brutal as we can .
*Why SPORE BLEEDING ? is this connected to Singapore?
Yeah , this is a famous question that i've been aswering to most of all interviewers , ha ha ha ! "SPORE" doesn't stand for "Singapore" and has nothing to do with the country . The word itself stands for "Sporal / Kindda algae" or should i say if it combined with "Bleeding" it'll mean - Spore Bleeding = Rotten , bleeding flesh that've been infected by spores .
*Do any of you have contacts in Philippines?
Nope , not yet .. since you've interviewed me , you are my 1st contact in Philippines and i would appreciate it ! Thanks Louie dude !!
*Are you into Malaysia goregrind scene? like TORTURE INCIDENT, GORESPITAL, DAMOKIS........?
Yes , we're into the scene in our place as it's not a big scene yet ! We just have a small colony in these genre of music . Band likes Torture Incident , Gorespital(Farouk's and Charlie's side-project) , Sperm Blast , Radiata , Damokis , Hecatomb , Bilharzia or whatever brutal/gore/grind band stand from our friends .
*Do you play lot of gigs in Malaysia? What bands have you play with? Pls tell us some fresh news and good bands, zines , label?
Most of the line-ups got their own band , Adi and Feroz our vocalist from Radiata , Dir our bassis from Molly's Lip , Hasby our 2nd guitarist from Succubus , Farouk the drummer and Charlie , 1st guitarist are from Gorespital , We do play hella gigs for many times . We're going to play another gig in this late August and also in September and maybe until this end of the year we'll keep playing in a gig for every months .
Beside new releases from Torture Incident , a band named Bilharzia and Pyron were also released their E.P just about last 1-2 months ago . Well , they're quite a good band and their stuffs are recorded track by tracks under the well-known label in Malaysia , Nebiula Production® and also have a nice , high quality sounds .
For those who wanted to released their stuffs in Malaysia or any other european countries , they could try to contact a new label in our place , Speedrawk D.I.Y Network and Records® and they're getting stronger and bigger everyday . My top 5 fave are - 1) Slayer 2) Napalm Death\Carcass 3) Mortician 4)Disgorge 5)Impaled Nazarene (Total fucking evil technologies) Awhhh yeahh .. but hey , I got so many fave bands and I guess it's better for you to ask me "what is your top 100 fave band" ha ha ha !! (jokin! - Farouk)
*Have you release any demo yet?
We doesn't released any demo yet with Spore Bleeding . Most of the line-ups were busy releasing their own demo/singles and for me I don't wanna interrupt them and I think it's more better that if we start our recording in this middle September when everybody got a hell of many free time and maybe we'll going to sign our contract with Speedrawk D.I.Y Network and Records® as their manager , Mr Aim has invited us to join them . Just ya' guys wait !!!
*How's the response towards your demo?
Well , most of the peoples that met me are always asking for Spore Bleeding to release our stuffs and even some bands were asking us to made a split-release with their band , well .. I don't know cause we're don't release it yet .. but I really hope that they'll keep to supports us by buying our stuffs and went to our gigs .
*This is really intriguing question how's Malaysia government now ? I heard that black/death/grind/ are banned ? Is this a big effect to your band or in the scene ?
The problems , the plagues that keeps going on with the underground scene in Malaysia are "BANNED BY THE GOVERNMENT" issues . It's really hard to say that whose wrong ? why did they banned us , or why did this thing spread in the wrong way ? Yes .. perhaps the question bring us to recall upon Mainstream Media in Malaysia . The ONE and ONLY problems that will occurs to any kind of problems are the wrong reported-news about what is our kind of music , who is inside the scene and what did they do inside the genre ? I think that the mainstream medium in our place are the fire starter and after the government shitheads watches the prime time news on 8 about what is Black Metal are really about ?... they started to take action to clean-up 100% of the scene either u listen to punk/oi/metal/hardcore or any kind of extreme music without checking it first because most of typical-minded people do trust the mainstream media . This kind of case have been lifted us with quite a-hard-time when most of the gig at the time of the issue are still hot as shit , being rushed by the police force and most of us were being caught and taken to the police station because just going to catch ourselves some fun . Even me , myself are in the gig when those bastard cops rushed as Damage Digital from Japan (Touring in Malaysia) were about to played and that incident made us so mad and ashamed with our country . The main point that i wanna say here are mainstream medias do have a lots of power to conquer the mind of the citizen and some stupid-typical-minded-dudes in the government .
