Igen Weyr Main Entrance Field
Activity surrounds the Igen Weyr Bowl, especially so close to the Living Caverns. A road runs beneath the huge cliffs which form the southeastern section of the Igen Weyr Bowl. The wall opens here in three places, the middle one leading to the Living Cavern, and through it, the Inner Caverns. The northernmost one is the largest, being the Infirmary for both dragons and humans. The ground is solid and rocky and, in the brightest sun, glares uncomfortably.
To the north the path continues, winding its way past the hatching grounds (off the Weyrling Training Fields) to eventually leave the bowl. Cutting across the bowl to the northwest brings you to the center of the bowl. To the west lies a green field full of beasts- the Weyr's feeding grounds. The infirmary weyr opens to the northeast, and the living caverns to the east.

---> Hicerth and another brown, Pieth, land together, both freshly bathed and oiled so they gleam neatly. Wings folding back, the bigger of the browns rumbles a deep tone, dipping down low to let his girl hop down more easily. You swing over to one side of Hicerth's neck, sliding down to his foreleg before jumping the remaining distance to the ground.

You head into the Igen Weyr Living Cavern.

Zamac He went to get a juice for the ladie like Pwert had asked hism to do and as he handed it to her he looks for a long while in shock and great curiousity at the newly arrived woman's dress. He tried to hold back his thoughts but it consumed him and he bursted out in a frenzy of laughter, as he calmed downed he said politly, "Sorry, it's just, ummm... " His checks turned bright red, he had never felt quite as embarrased "I'm Zamac, you must forgive I'm usually not this rude".

Hicerth> Wilanth was all alone, but when the browns land she takes notice. One eye peeps open , head tilting as if she's winking at them. She looks and then gives a little flip of her wings as if to say, 'hello boys'.

Hicerth> Hicerth eyes Wilanth and settles down a cautious distance away. Pieth, however, is obviously very trusting and gullible as he lumbers closer to the green with a sweet-talking croon.

Joshi sits down and accepts the juice. She gives wry, dry looks a Zamac who is overwhelmed with laughter. That dryness asserts itself in her voice as she says, "I'm so pleased I could make you laugh so." Yep, grumpy is she of the pink veils. The dress rustles as she sits - ribbons layered on the skirt, bows on the sleeves and in the back. She sips the juice and waits for the laughter to end.

Hicerth> Wilanth tosses her head around as if showing off. She trills very sweetly at Pieth, gaining that trust, an invite to come near her and glory in her beauty. She's definitely -- in the mood. Her hide tells the tale as well.

Livia strides into the cavern shoulder to shoulder practically with another brownrider, P'can. Her face is twisted crossly as she sternly tells the other man, "Look, I don't care what he's got going on, it's an unacceptable behavior and you should have known better than to.." And the lecture goes on while the man just listens with a contrite expression. Well, it was a contrite expression, until he notices Joshi and her dress, and his jaw nearly hits the floor. It takes Livia much longer to notice that she's lost her audience and thwaps the man in his arm, "Hey! Pay attention!"

Hicerth> Pieth is easily lead by this sweet sound and ventures closer still, his crooning continuing. Dragon pick up lines, no doubt. Hicerth gives a little snort and lays his head down and watches from his safe distance.

Joshi looks at Pwert and the red dress. "Let me see it." she states.

R'din has arrived.

Pwert nimbly adds the final knots, and lifts up the dress. It's a nice, almost silky (but not silk, obviously) red ress It's simple, and unadorned, but the cut is somewhat appealing. It's sleaves hang mid length but billow loosely to accomadate the igen heat. "You want to go try it on? Anything got to be better than that." he gestures at the flowery thing.

Hicerth> Wilanth is easy to fool those who trust her. Or is she? She actually cuddles up close to Pieth and nuzzles the smaller brown. A look of 'hah! see?' is thrown Hicerth's way. Then a crooning invite. She has another side that is cold.

The caverns are getting busy. Pwert is holding up a red dress he's mending, showing it off to Joshi whose hair is damp and she's wearing a ridiculously froufrou dress with pink bows and ribbons -- and black socks on her feet. Zamac is sitting near them, having finished laughing while Livia is lecturing P'can by the door.

Hicerth> Pieth rumbles a smug tone to the bigger brown as he nuzzles the shiney green. Hicerth gives a grumpy sort of a snort, although he does eye the other side of the green. Still, he doesn't move.

Zamac stomach began acting up and with all that laughter it seemed as if hunger had started to settle in. He thought about the heardbeast stew, it did sound really good but he was in the mood for cookies again, so he asked in a friendly manner, "Pwert do you know were I can find some cookies here?".

Hicerth> Wilanth curls her tail around Piet, crooning adoringly. She looks at Hicerth and sends out a trill his way. She's got room for two. Her wings flip out spreading one towards Pieth -- the other towards a cold, lonely, empty spot.

R'din slips into the Caverns, glancing about quickly as he heads towards the Serving Table to grab a snack, his heels clicking upon the cavern's stone floor. Eyes then double back, raising an eyebrow at Joshi's dress, "Reminds me of the dress I wore to the Auntie and Uncle costume contest at Southern Weyr." he comments as he picks up his snack.

Livia finally ends with, "And you're the one who wanted the job in the first place, so try to shape up or I'll just replace you." The man gives her a smirk, letting her know that he knows she's just fooling around. With a sigh, she waves him off, "Go on, get yourself some dinner." Her attention too seems to gravitate towards the greenrider, but she doesn't laugh or look amused. Instead, she heads on over and comments, "Rough day, eh?"

Pwert gestures to the far table not far from the klah, "Just over there, Zamac." He points at Livia, "That's Livia. She's brown Hicerth rider. As long as you're nice to her, she's pretty nice. If you need a hair cut," he says quietly, "Be sure to see her. She's good." He waves over to Livia, "Hey Livia, over here!" He pushes the dress towards Joshi, "Go on, it hasn't been worn yet. No one'll miss it as long as you get it back to me when you're done with it."

Hicerth> Hicerth continues to stall. But then, it gets the better of him. He allows himself to be lulled into a sense of security. He gets up and moves closer towards the green, rumbling quietly.

"No it's okay. I don't want to wear your dress Pwert." The way Joshi says 'your' indicates she doesn't think for a moment it's anybody else's. She looks up at Livia and says, "Clothes were taken by a launderess who just took a whole pile from the baths.. even my clean ones." She crosses her arms in front of her in a flounce of ribbons. "Ylva had to loan me this thing."

Hicerth> Wilanth lets out a croon of approval. Come closer Hicerth. She isn't going to hurt him. See how she cuddles Pieth? He could be cuddled too. She nudges Pieth softly.

Hicerth> Hicerth ventures closer, closer, closer. Into dangerous territory he hesitantly goes. Pieth rumbles a little bit grumpily at his clutchbrother for trying to hone in on his action, but he's easily distracted from any protests he might have made.

R'din gravitates towards the others, chewing idly on the citron, watching them as he walks. "Well, it looks quite charming on you." He says to Joshi with an innocent smile and tilt of his head.

Dragon> Hicerth senses that Wilanth sends out thoughts to both you and Pieth. << One time at Harper Hall, an apprentice made up a song.. just for me. >>

Zamac noded to Livia "Well met" as he said that smilling as he often did since his comming to the weyr, he got up and moved toward the area that Pwert had indicated. Once he arrived to his destination he took a small plate and put a few cookies. a few seconds later food at hand, he headed towards the table to take his seat once more.

Livia gives Pwert a little grin and a wink of greeting while lifting a hand to Zamac, since she doesn't really recognize him. She tells Joshi, "That's bad luck. I'm glad you didn't tell me that was what you'd worn to your brother's wedding." R'din, though, gets a wary sort of a glance followed by a friendly smile to off set the previous look.

Chayil comes down the stairway. Chayil has arrived.

Hicerth> Wilanth senses that Hicerth ventures with much confidence << If I could sing, I would write many songs for you. >> Isn't he just the charmer now? And Pieth, not to be outdone, hurridly counters << I cannot sing, but I will make my rider sing for you. >>

Pwert shrugs and folds it up, "Alright then. And it's not mine. I'm not sure who's it is. I just was given the measurements to fit it to." he grins, "One hour can't come soon enough, can it?" He smiles slowly, and winks back.

"Go get your eyesight checked R'din," Joshi retorts back, scowling some. She picks her juice up and drinks it. She shakes her head at Livia. "No that was a pretty green dress at least.. not this shardin awful thing."

R'din glances over at Livia as he notices her doing the same to him, dipping his head slightly, returning the smile. He lets Joshi's retort roll off his back as he shrugs at her, joining the others at the table, turning his attention to Pwert and Zamac. "I haven't seen you around before. I'm Daianth, lifemate of R'din."

A tall, broad-shouldered, dark-all-over person enters the living cavern and makes for the food tables to pick up something to eat. It's Tzuzen, a bluerider who impressed about ten turns ago. Now thirty, she's earned a reputation for competence, intelligence, and good taste -- in food, for example, as she now shows by skipping over the items on the meal table that were set out more than an hour or so ago, and heading right for the freshest cheese rolls. "Hallo," she greets whomever may be nearby, "nice night for it."

Livia sinks into a chair on the other side of the table from Joshi, and glances over her shoulder to holler at her wingmate that she had been lecturing, "Hey! And while you're at it, get me something too, eh?" Turning back to the table, she adds, "Well, I'm sorry that I missed it, since I don't know that I'll be able to soon forget what you've got on now."

Hicerth> Mohria walks over from the center of the bowl. Hicerth> Mohria has arrived.

Hicerth> Riordanth walks over from the center of the bowl. Hicerth> Riordanth has arrived.

Hicerth> Mohria moves across the field with her tiny blue dragon in tow. She sweeps a bow to the dragons present as Riordanth settles, crooning a bright hello.

Mohria ambles out from the inner caverns. Mohria has arrived.

Mohria steps into the Living Cavern with a bright smile, tapping her gloves against her thigh. "High Reaches duties to Igen and her queens," she greets.

Hicerth> Wilanth is surrounded by a big strong brown, and another smaller brown. Her tail keeps lashing backa nd forth between them, cuddling each. She's got her attention divided - and now it's divided further as she throws a sultry croon at Riordanth. He smells -- nice. And she's definitely welcoming.

Pwert chuckles as he scoops up the dress gingerly packing it in his sack "Well, I should get going. It was nice talking to you, Joshi." He blinks, and turns to R'din before leaving, "Oh, you must've just missed me. I've been around for a few turns, sir. I'm Pwert." He says with a grin, and exits into the inner caverns.

Pwert strides through the passageway into the Inner Caverns. Pwert has left.

Hicerth> Riordanth arches his neck a bit and croons, pleasantly surprised. His eyes swirl with warm colors, and he rustles his wings.

Zamac take a bit of the first cookie from off the plate and after having swallows the tasty treat replied to the warm welcome he had recieved just moments ago, "Hello I'm Zamac, I beleive we've neve met before because I have just a resident of this weyr just a few days ago".

Joshi snorts and laughs. "R'din you got your name backwards with your dragons.. are you going loopy again?" She snickers and then says to Livia. "Best get Hicerth on out of the weyr now.." said lowly in warning. "Wilanth's being a little too friendly if you know what I mean.."

Joshi spots Mohria and calls out, "Mohria! Hello! How's the family?"

Livia glances at R'din and wonders, "I'm sorry, what was your name again?" She looks slightly enlightened as Joshi laughs, and looks away to reply, "Igen's Duties to the Reaches!" She glances back at Joshi with her low warning, and just blinks at her. No comment.

Mohria pauses in the entrance, brows lifting. She pulls a package out of her pocket and sets it on the table before both hands go into her pocket. "Seems our timing always seems..." she mumbles, and then grins at Joshi, "Fantastic, thank you! Crispin just turned 10, shards, he's getting so big so fast."

R'din nods, "Guess so." An eyebrow twitches, "Well met, Pwert." as he leaves, looking at Zamac, "Is that so? Well, welcome to Igen, Zamac. Where do you come from?" Then he looks at Joshi out fromt he corner of his eyes, "I've always been loopy, Joshi. Always will be, it's no fun being normal." A slight grin, nodding at Livia, "Nid'r."

Tzuzen's ear catches Joshi's warning, and with a crafty smirk she sets down the cheese roll in favor of a glass of water, musing, "So that's what Golyath's so intense over," then adding a murmur of thanks to her wingleader for rescheduling their drills this evening. Tossing back the first and last gulp of water, she dries her lower lip with a stroke of her thumb and gives the room a glance-over, assessing those present as if debating Golyath's chances, should she allow him to pursue Wilanth.

"No way! Really?" Joshi shakes her head. "Seems like last time I saw ya he was only... " she can't even remember. She's sitting next to Livia in a ridiculous pink confection of a dress. It's too short and if one looked - one could see the black socks she wears beneath the dress. "Shards I hope they have my laundry out here soon." She glances at the inner caverns.

Mohria chuckles, eyes amused as they take in Joshi's outfit, "How time flies..." She perches on the end of a bench, elbows resting on her knees. She flashes R'din a smile, "I'm Airhom." Wink.

Livia gives R'din another odd look, and doesn't even follow it up with a smile this time. She didn't even come in in a good mood tonight, but her mood is taking a slightly more serious turn south with each passing moment. When P'can brings her a mug of water, she waves it away, complaining at him, "Nevermind. I don't want that now." Poor P'can. He can never win. With a sigh, he sinks down at the same table to eat his own food.

Hicerth> Riordanth rumbles quietly as he watches Wilanth with spinning eyes, his tail swishing back and forth slowly across the ground.

Zamac says answers R'din cheerfully "I originally come from Igen Hold" He tried dipping his cookie in his mug of Klah to see how it would taste. And to his surprise Klah didn't taste so good when it was cold, he had never accually let it cool off before.

Hicerth> Hicerth rumbles grumpily at the arriving blues, and sticks to Wilanth's one side. Now that he's /there/ he plans to keep his spot.

R'din notices Livia's odd look, not paying it any heed as he turns back to Zamac, grinning. "Is the Weyr the only other place you've been to?" he queries of Zamac, giving Mohria a grin and chuckle. "A good name, that one is."

Hicerth> Wilanth casts a glance at Riordanth. He's welcome to come to her. In fact. She stands and stretches languidly. She saunters over to Riordanth and nuzzles him lightly. Poor Hicerth and Pieth are to be left behind.

Hicerth> Riordanth runs his muzzle gently against Wilanth's silky hide, rumbling deep in his chest in a comforting and almost purring manner.

"Livia I'm serious." Joshi does look serious. "Go.. go before we -- you - or I.." She smacks her hand down on the table. "Don't make this hard for me..." She whispers. "Please?"

Mohria tilts her head, frowning a bit. "Everything okay?" she queries towards Joshi, glancing at Livia.

Hicerth> Hicerth gives a threatening snarl to the blue, but he doesn't pursue the green. His body does tense, though, as if he were about to get up.

Lecil comes in from the Bowl. Lecil has arrived.

Lecil hurries in, looking back over her shoulder.

Dragon> Riordanth, Hicerth, and Qeturath sense that Wilanth sends out dark, hungry thoughts. << I am soo hungry. >> Aren't you?

Tzuzen wisely sweeps her dark hair back with both hands and ties it into a knot so as not to have to find a cord for a tieback. Never can tell who'll try to pull one's hair. "Right," she seconds Joshi, then tells Livia, "Besides, Golyath seems interested." That in itself should be a bit of a challenge -- Golyath doesn't chase many greens, but he seldom loses the ones he does chase.

Livia's gaze stays on Joshi for a long moment. Perhaps too long. Her hands lay down on the table top as well. Slowly, she nods, her voice coming out quietly, "Fine. You're right. We'll go." Her hands push her up out of the chair, although her eyes don't leave Joshi until she hears Tzuzen and she gives the other woman a dark glare, "As if Hicerth couldn't fly circles around your Golyath." Bad mood.

Hicerth> Hicerth tenses there, then growling, he leaps up into the air. But not to leave. No, he heads to the feeding grounds instead.

Hicerth> You head into the corral containing the Weyr feeding grounds.

Lecil hmms, eyeing the gathering of riders and nods to herself as if that explains it. She heads to the main table for a mug of klah.

Hicerth> Riordanth hops the fence from the field outside the main entrance to the east. Hicerth> Riordanth has arrived.

Hicerth> Wilanth backwings to land in the grounds neatly. Hicerth> Wilanth has arrived.

Hicerth> Riordanth backwings to touch down on the outskirts of the corall, his shoulders hunched and wings half spread as he watches the other dragons. Studying, watching, and preparing to blood.

Hicerth> Golyath, a dusky cobalt blue with a large, beefy frame, is already here. A drained caprine lays already at his feet, and he fastidiously licks a few droplets of its blood from his lips. He is alert and a tad smug for having anticipated the rising of the feisty Wilanth.

Zamac tried to finish off the cold Klah despite it's horrid taste, remembering his mothers words telling him to always finish his food or in this case his drinks. Zamac swallowed the remaining brew in one last sip and shrugged. "I'd like to have seen more of the world but to this date farm life and the weyr is as much as i've seen." he grined, "But I figure that I'm still rather young and I can still do some explore later on in my life".

Hicerth> Hicerth does no preparing or anything of that sort. No. He goes straight for the kill. He wings low over the herds and plucks two scrawny little caprines from their midst. One he steps on as he lands, and the other he defiles with his maw full of big sharp teeth. Really, he seems to be making more of a mess than actually accomplishing anything, but he does manage to blood them both.

R'din follows Livia's actions from out of the corners of his eyes before giving the other riders a glance before deciding to contain himself to Zamac, "I'm glad Dai's sleeping. Flights have a way of making drama queens out of riders sometimes." he comments lightly to Zamac, chuckling. "Good plan, Zamac, I always enjoy exploring, never a bad idea. Any place in mind you'd like to visit?"

Mohria straightens a bit on her bench, eyes unfocusing briefly before they snap back to Joshi. She smiles - more of a smirk, really.

Lecil finds a seat, politely away from Joshi and the cluster of riders around her.

"Livia!" Joshi says sharply but her attention flies over to R'din and she says between clenched teeth. "That's not true and you know it!" She stands up, skirt falling far short of her ankles, somewhere around her calves. Her black socks make no sound as she says, "He's blooding..she's blooding!" half-stricken.

Hicerth> Riordanth springs into the air, his wings snapping open as he angles back down towards a single running beast. He pierces it with his hind talons, tail brushing the ground, and then lands, lifting the wiggling animal up and taking it in his front talons, dipping his muzzle and tearing into the beast. Blood runs over his muzzle as he burries it in the guts, eyes spinning with purple and red.

Mohria pushes herself to her feet, "Shall we go to the guest weyr?" she asks Joshi, voice soothing.

Hicerth> Wilanth drops down on a beast - her first of the evening. As the sun heads down towards the horizon, not yet in its final descent to night time, she snaps the head of a herdbeast and tries to start eating -- she gets her maw around it when she's stopped and lets out a shriek of disappointment. Oh fine! She bloods it - instead of devouring it as she wants.

Tzuzen sets down her water cup and saunters for the doorway, every bit as smug as her dragon. "Yeees," she says in her low voice, chuckling deeply as her brown eyes sweep Joshi's outlandish attire, seeming to see not it, but the figure beneath. "Let's all go. Of course, not all our dragons can catch Wilanth, can they? So some of you won't be saying." Yes, it's said mostly to Livia. Pass /her/ over for wingleader in favor of this young whelp, sure, but her Golyath will make up for that. Tonight.

Livia's vacant gaze returns to Joshi's, self-assured of her lifemate's alpha-maledness. Defiantly, she wonders, "So?" P'can gives her leg a slap as she stands there, trying to get her attention and leans to mutter something quick and quietly to her. She just smirks at him, and instead decides, "Yes..Lets go to the Guest Weyr and see who's the last one standing." She gives Tzuzen a glare, then Mohria. Blueriders.

Hicerth> Riordanth rumbles deep in his chest as he drops the carcas for the firelizards to fight over. He reaches out and grabs towards another running beast scared his way by a feasting Brown. He misses with his first swipe and springs forward - quick as a feline - and lands the animal, squashing it into the ground. Teeth bear themselves and he bites off a hind leg, drinking from the joint.

Hicerth> Golyath's powerful legs heave him into the air, and wider-than-average wings propel him onward and upward, passing one or two, but not everyone by any means. He hung back a bit, of course, to get a good gauge of the other males' abilities. Now, he intends to upstage them all.

Mohria arches her brows at Tzuzen and just chuckles a self-assured chuckle. Livia gets a sweeping bow and a very bemused smile.

Lecil just shakes her head. Blueriders.

Hicerth> Hicerth flings his empty carcasses aside and helps himself to another. He makes an even worse mess of the wherry he picks, streaks of crimson down his muzzle, his neck, and even his chest.

Joshi looks around. "LIVIA STOP HIM NOW!" She grabs her juice and drinks it, not caring when some of it runs down the sides of her mouth and dribbles over her chin. "Blood blast you..blood!" She's not talking to them, but to Wilanth. "Mohria...stop him.. please." She makes her plea to the bluerider, walking over to her. "Keep Livia away from me." Although to Mohria it would be unknown /why/.

Mohria frowns, confused, but she does as she's told. An arm goes out to Joshi, and the Bluerider moves between the Greenrider and Livia. "Okay.." And she will, no doubt.

Tzuzen offers generously, "/I'll/ keep her away from you, Joshi."

Zamac "Hmmm, good question, I don't really know" he thought about it a little as he ate another cookie "R'din, you're a dragonrider, I'm guessing you've seen some, if not much of the world maybe you could tell me a few great locations for me to see in the futur, that is if ever stablemaster Jaadun eases off on my constant work in the stables" he laughed happily, this was to be lods of fun.

R'din twitches a brow at Joshi, "Sure, Joshi." He nods, leaning over closer to Zamac, whispering to him in a low voice, "Usually it's the rider being chased. Silly raging hormones." Sage nod, leaning back into his chair, munching on the rest of his citron, nodding. "Aye, I have, one of my favorite spots is a waterfall over in the Southern Continent, it's close to Southern Weyr. Another is in the mountains of Fort. Love a good snowball fight."

Livia actually seems to take some sort of demented enjoyment out of Joshi's frantic plea to the bluerider. She folds her arms over her chest and laughs darkly, "Like either of those little girls could stop me." Not that either of them is particularly small, but she's willing to say it anyhow. She gives Mohria a toothy sneer, "You think just because that blue of yours caught Wilanth before you have any sort of say in things here? Keep your nose out of desert business."

Mohria straightens, her eyes hardening as she gazes back calmly at Livia. "I'm here for the lady," she says, stressing 'lady', "and her only." Self-appointed body-guard on duty, now.

Covering her face, Joshi says, "Let's just go... someone keep her out. I can't do it.. I can't..." She begins walking and brushes past R'din and Zamac on the way out. "Don't ever do anything in the hayloft .. Jaadun gets mad at that," she recommends to Zamac on her way out. "Remember that time Mohria?" A flirty grin tossed to the bluerider.

"Sure you are," Tzuzen says to Mohria, determined to get under the other riders' skin. She pauses at the stairway leading up to the guest weyr. "Coming?"

Hicerth> Wilanth takes out another beast and sucks it dry. She's gotten used to flights and any males know after two good beasts, the green is ready to fly. And as usual, she rises, snapping her wings open when she jumps off the ground, speeding to gain height.

Hicerth> Wilanth leaps into the air! Hicerth> Wilanth has left.

Mohria ignores Tzuzen like someone might enjoy an annoying VTOL, and smiles charmingly at Joshi, sweeping a half bow before she follows the Rider, "That I do, m'lady."

Hicerth> Riordanth leaps into the air! Hicerth> Riordanth has left.

Livia starts to move forward, but an arm in front of her gives her pause. She looks towards P'can, blinking. Good old P'can. He leans and mutters something to her again, and she smirks, "Fine. Fine. We'll save it for later. Come on, mate. We've business." She shoves the other brownrider away from her then, and follows after the others moodily.

Hicerth> You leap into the air!

Hicerth> Riordanth sweeps into the air with powerful grace, wings pulling him aloft in the strange air-currents. He rises to the middle of the pack, his tiny body able to dart between larger dragons where other blues may not dare to go.

Joshi changes direction towards Tzuzen, following the older lady up the stairs. "I can't do it!" she pleads to Tzuzen. "Livia doesn't love me -- You have to catch her.. he can't." She glances at Livia and to P'can and Mohria as if they might stop her from getting in the weyr somehow.

Hicerth> Hicerth opens his great massive wings, gliding upward with a few powerful strokes. Rather than go through the middle of the pack, he angles towards being above the actual throng, loosing his brown clutch brother in the mess of dragons.

Tzuzen leads the way up the stairs, but turns around to block them once and murmur to Joshi something that causes her expression to take on a certain knowing intimacy.

Mohria follows a few steps behind Joshi, a warm smile on her lips - though her eyes are unfocused and aflame with her dragon's flight.

Hicerth> Wilanth flies straight up. She bugles a challenge to her chasers. Pieth gets special attention as he tries to sneak up and she sweeps past him. Too early boyo! She climbs high crooning back at Riordanth.

Lecil sips her klah, watching.

Chayil climbs up the stairway onto the balcony. Chayil has left. Joshi climbs up the stairway onto the balcony. Joshi has left. Mohria climbs up the stairway onto the balcony. Mohria has left.

You climb the stairs to the balcony, and then further up to the upper hallway.

Hicerth> Riordanth trumpets back to the shimmering gem of his dreams, striving for height with muzzle outstretched. The fading light ripples across his healthy hide - what a good mate he would make - and his eyes are violet bathed in quicksilver as they spin.

Mohria turns and smiles sweetly at Livia, "I'm sorry, but m'lady Joshi has requested you not join us in the Guest Weyr." Her voice is low, but smooth.

"Oh, let her," Tzuzen purrs, ostensibly to Mohria but facing Joshi. "She'll be leaving soon enough. Won't she, Joshi?"

Joshi follows after Tzuzen and says, "But you're supposed to leave after we're done. All riders leave." She seems confused, Wilanth's consciousness taking over. Watching Mohria with Livia, Joshi states, "Wow..when you're good you're very good but when you're bad you're better." She looks at Tzuzen and shrugs. "I don't want to take the chance."

Livia shrugs off her jacket, dropping it on the floor at the top of the stairs. The shirt she was wearing underneath is really hardly more than an undershirt and does a nice job of showing all her muscles, which he flexes menacingly as she laughs at Mohria, "And who's going to stop me? You? Come on, tell me another one."

Mohria smiles charmingly, undisturbed by the apparent showing off of muscles. "I apologize for the inconvience, but m'lady does not wish you to join us. If you'd care to partake, there are refreshments downstairs. You can wait there."

Hicerth> Golyath's hide glistens with the sheen of a recent oiling, and his brawny muscles bunch beneath the cobalt surface as he pushes forward. By "accident," his wing claw rakes into a bronze's wing. It's not enough to cause permanent damage, nor even to make the bronze drop out right away, but it won't be quite as easy for that bronze to use his power to gain an edge. One down... how many to go?

Hicerth> Hicerth rumbles a deep toned thrumming as he soars higher up into the sky, passing by some of the more sluggish dragons to get into the real heat of the fight. He's hardly polite about his flying, either. He freely roams into other dragon's airspace, trying to muscle them out of the way like a true bully.

Yet again, P'can puts out a hand to stop Livia from going forward as she seems ready to go straight at Mohria. When he became the responsible one is anyone's guess. This time, she doesn't listen to him, though, and shoves him away. "No thanks. Not hungry."

Mohria shrugs a shoulder, "Then you may wait here." She bows slightly, and turns her back on the other rider, intending to go to the Guest Weyr. Down in the living cavern, Lecil walks out to the Bowl.

Tzuzen watches Livia and Mohria for a moment, but now decides it's not productive to get caught up in their debate. Instead, she sidles closer to Joshi with a bit of a swagger. It's well deserved -- she's got a reputation for someone whose one night stands tend to evolve into second and third nights, and sometimes into sevendays or months. "Let's let them fight it out," she recommends to the greenrider, "while we take care of other matters, hm?" She reaches out, intending to caress Joshi's shoulder.

Hicerth> Wilanth will be in distress if this continues! She sweeps around, barrelling back through the males - those greens can turn on a mark can't they? She pushes past Pieth and Riordanth. Golyath is nowhere near her which is probably good. Because she is the only bullying type -- as she'll prove when ebony tipped talons RAKE along Hicerth as she flies over him - too fast for him to catch in time to stop her. She's punishing him -- punishing him for upsetting some balance she knows nothing about.

Hicerth> Riordanth doesn't need to throw his wait around. He has the skill to fly /around/ things in his way. Which he does, darting around the injured Bronze with a distainful snort for whatever dragon injured him. Dragon against dragon? No class at all. As Wilanth goes past him him nimble body twists, and with a trumpet of desire he reaches out, trying to charm her into his waiting wings.

Joshi doesn't even notice Tzuzen's hand on her arm, which is how it's easy to touch her at this moment. Her eyes are on P'can and Livia, with Mohria. "I told her I loved her you know... and she can't love me back," said almost in a whisper to Tzuzen.. "And now he can't catch or she'll break my heart again." She steps away, moving towards the weyr as if to get away from old demons.

Hicerth> Golyath bursts out bugling his ecstasy at having finally found a female after his own heart, and is no longer shy about purposefully crashing his shoulder into the delicate belly of another dragon, not even pausing to see which one it is. If these two collide, there will be bruses and scrapes the next morning. But oh, won't the night be glorious.

Hicerth> Hicerth errupts with a startled shriek at the pain the green would inflict on him, interrupting his prescheduled rumbling. He falters a bit from the sting, falling out of the main pack again and downward. It takes him a few moment to recover from the shock and again he's rising after the others. Apparently, his injuries weren't serious enough to keep him down for long, even if they did leave a mark.

Tzuzen does manage to look, and perhaps even to be, sincerely concerned for Joshi's plight. "Then we'll have to make sure that doesn't happen," she promises, glancing towards Mohria and P'can for their help. Surely the three of them working together can save Joshi the pain... and she and her Golyath might still come out on top. So to speak. She holds open the door to the guest weyr. "After you."

Hicerth> Foiled him! But then there's Riordanth who is entirely too close! She's not yet completed her revenge - especially as the brown is still chasing. Wilanth drops her wings to the left, spiraling away from Riordanth who was too close for comfort. Her machinations have put her danger of being caught and that can't happen yet!!

Livia's expression twists into a pained grimace for her lifemate, her own hand going to her side with a wince. "Argh...foul...Shard it.." She won't be held back any longer, though, as her lifemate stays in the fight. She shoves past the lot of them and heads into the guest weyr on her own, P'can dogging her every step.

You walk into the guest weyr.

Joshi walks in from the balcony. Joshi has arrived.

Chayil walks in from the balcony. Chayil has arrived.

Hicerth> Riordanth rumbles his brief dissapointment - but he will try again, as is his way. He rights himself and swings around another Blue, pushing after the Green again. His heart pounds and his eyes swirl with wanting voilet and glorious jade. Come to me...

Mohria walks in from the balcony. Mohria has arrived.

Mohria follows the group looking a little bewildered. She gives Livia a down-the-nose glance and moves to Joshi, standing beside the Greenrider. She smiles softly, "We'll help," she whispers, "you won't be hurt again."

Hicerth> Wilanth sifts through the skies, rising into low clouds that are rolling across the way. It's a balmy evening - beautiful as the sun drifts over the horizon, lazily becoming more orange as it sets. Wilanth heads for the sun, hoping to blind some of those - but her strategy is bad - the sun isn't high enough for that anymore.

"Thank you," Joshi says with a grateful smile at Mohria. Then to Livia she states, "Get out." Flatly said - pointing at the door. Livia might be her friend - but tonight -- there's tension there.

Hicerth> Golyath's roar of delight as that first injured bronze gives up is matched only by the following roar of blatant, wanton desire. This female is as violent as he is, as fiery, as cruel. What a pair they would make! He swerves around, avoiding a bit of vengeance from that blue he'd shouldered, then redoubles his efforts. He remains behind Hicerth, however -- let the brown block the sun for him and break the air's resistance!

Hicerth> Hicerth twists and rolls between two other males. Now, he's not just chasing, he's enraged and he lets everyone in his way know it. He draws his wings in just before he barrels into Pieth and knocks him well out of the pack. Snarling, he struggles through the throng, never taking his eye off the green. She will be his. Oh yes. She will be his.

Tzuzen again holds the door open, in case Livia will honor Joshi's request, though she doesn't truly expect it. "Don't you worry," she advises Joshi in tones that combine reassurance with enticement, in the double entendre: "we'll cover you." Or at least, she implies, /she'll/ cover Joshi.

Hicerth> Riordanth trumpets his desire as the sunset bathes Wilanth in brillant, glowing color. He rests for a moment, flying in the wake of a small Bronze, before he again pushes forward. He has no time for the competition - he glories in the flight and in the chase. The fighting dragons are ignored fully. First off, it's just mean, and secondly, while they're fighting he can get closer to the one he wishes to share the warm evening with...Wilanth.

Livia takes a lean against the wall with plenty of space away from the other riders. She keeps her hand curled around her side and shakes her head at Joshi, almost looking upset as she states, "I can't." But if she was upset, it's gone quickly as she goes back to sneering.

Mohria mutters to Joshi, "They're... don't... Hurting... other...tonight... night for love..."

"Yes..yes it is." Joshi turns and grabs Mohria by the collar. She pulls the bluerider into a kiss - a very passionate kiss from the looks of it. But her eyes drift over to Livia as if to tell her - this is her choice - and the brownrider will not win. She lets go of Mohria and says lightly as if that was an everyday thing, "Your kiss is exactly as I remember it."

Mohria closes her eyes as she returns the kiss, her arms stealing around the beautiful Greenrider. She pulls away and smiles, "As is yours," she murmurs, "and it leaves me wanting more."

Dragon> Riordanth, Hicerth, and Qeturath sense that Wilanth scatters your thoughts as you woo her << I fly alone. >> for now that is. << You fly well but can you catch me? >> Taunting << I think not. >>

Livia's jaw tightens in irritation as she stares at Joshi and Mohria with her dark glare. She doesn't protest or interrupt, but she does straighten up off of the wall, her stance tall and straight.

Hicerth> Wilanth in true temptress style is teasing and flaunting herself as she flies. She flips around again, once more passing straight into the pack. The bully who dared call her his, gets his, as once more she passes below him, turning to rake with claws into his belly, not deep enough to gore - but to hurt and humiliate that she got him once again - without Hicerth getting her.

Tzuzen watches the other bluerider wooing the greenrider she's already begun thinking of as hers for the night, and she too scowls, pushing up her shirt sleeves and growling, "Why, I oughtta..."

Mohria shakes her head, sticking close beside Jorea, "Come now," she says in soothing tones, her eyes bright, "this is not a night for fighting. 'tis a night for love and romance!"

Hicerth> Golyath's roars quiet as he begins to focus all his energy upon the chase rather than the bragging. She will be his, or so says the look of determination upon his dark face, the gleam of lustful purple within his swirling eyes. Enough posturing: now it comes down to competence. He swoops forward just as Wilanth is taunting and torturing poor Hicerth, and his tail snakes out in an attempt to ensnare the dark beauty.

"Perhaps you will get that more." Joshi says in a murmur. She looks at P'can and saunters up to him. "Pieth fell back..can you catch up?" is teased as she runs her fingers across his face - forgetting her pink dress, her socks as she begins ehr teasing much as Wilanth teases those above.

Hicerth> Riordanth sees her begin to spin, and his turns of experience have his wing dipping and him spinning within a heartbeat. His wings push him between two slower dragons as he arrows towards a point in her path, backwinging to alter his speed so they'll meet at the same time and their bodies will twine and it will be glorious...if she doesn't dodge.

Hicerth> Hicerth errupts with a second shriek of rage, his wings folding in as his tail lashes and his neck reaches as if he could catch hold of the green before she got away. Naturally, he's too slow and she's already moved on, leaving a burning pain in her wake. He's a bit more slow to turn, but turn he does. He may not be the brightest glow in the basket, but at least he's persistant in his pursuit.

Hicerth> Catch Riordanth you devilish Golyanth! Wilanth is too slick for them, having slipped through their grasps as they come from both sides. Poor Hicerth just may get stuck in the middle of all them. And that might give Pieth a chance to catch up -- not to mention bronze Unruyth who was elbowed out by the pesky blue earlier.

Livia's other arm goes across her stomach, her eyes squeezing closed against the sting of tears. She sinks back againts the wall, taking a deep breath as her own bad mood seems rather shaken by the way things are going.

Hicerth> Riordanth backwings to avoid any collisions, dropping down beneith the pack with wings tucked to build up speed before he arrows upwards again, turning and seeing that clever green who has fire racing through his veins. She's good. She's very good.

P'can actually looks a little alarmed at have Joshi's attention for about a half a second, then he's all grins and suave looks, "He's small and quick. He'll catch up. Don't you worry your pretty little head about that..."

Mohria chuckles quietly, "Riordanth is smaller," she murmurs, lowering herself to sit at the foot of the bed with a smile. Her eyes follow Joshi with an intense gaze. "Breakfast in bed? I think so," she murmurs to herself.

Tzuzen's head whips around towards Mohria in outrage as the blues seem about to collide -- not that it was Mohria's fault, but Tzuzen isn't in her right mind at the moment. "Get out of my way," she snarls as if she, too, were in the sky, and Mohria stood in her way.

Mohria turns her eyes to Tzuzen, "He's already out of your way," she smiles saucily. Yes, Riordanth is fast.

Hicerth> Golyath's shriek of rage at the near-collision rebounds off the bowl walls as he swerves, then adjusts his trajectory to place himself once again within the pack of males being led such a merry chase by this amazing green. As much as she rebuffs him, he hungers for her. Red and orange streaks invade the violet of his eyes. Shards, but the female is a fine one. He /must/ have her.

Livia's eyes snap open as she glares across at Mohria, unaware of the tears leaking down her cheeks from her lifemate's influence. She snaps, "Breakfast in bed? Breakfast in bed? You don't get to bring /her/ breakfast in bed. That's not for you."

Hicerth> Hicerth twists his mass onto his side, and slides right through the gap between Riordanth and Golyanth as the blue backwings out of the way. Just enough space for him. The move only fuels his momentum since he doesn't have to slow down to get around them. Instead, he barrels full well towards Wilanth, his neck reaching out and his speed dangerous as if he intended to just collide with her and stop the rest of this nonsense.

Mohria lifts her gaze to Livia, "It's not for me," she agrees, "it's for m'lady Joshi."

Tzuzen's chin thrusts forward as she echoes Livia's protest. "Shardin' right, it's not. And it's not for /you/ either, Brownrider. She already said she didn't want you." Actually, she said she did, but who's keeping score? Certainly not Tzuzen. The upshot was, Tzuzen's chances got better, and that's what she cares about.

Hicerth> Wilanth is too fast for you! Too fast for all of them. And she'll prove it by double back in for one more good swipe at Hicerth -- watch as she takes down this bully brown with her claws!!! Watch as she moves in for an injury dealing blow - shredding his mainsails! Watch as ...watch as she's suddenly foiled by Pieth who flies in too close, causing her to drop her wings and fall below the brown. Watch as Hicerth's momentum causes the ultimate collision - caught between Pieth and Hicerth, her wings decide -- tangling with Hicerth - caught by the bully.

Hicerth> Riordanth lets out a heartbreaking roar as his wings fold and he falls towards the ground. Caught by another...His wings slowly spread again and he glides. He will Catch another day.

Hicerth> Golyath's shriek turns at the last moment to a mourning creel. Why, why, why? But he circles out to land with a splash in the lake, drowning his sorrow in a cold bath.

Joshi clings to Mohria. "Don't go." She looks at Livia, her longing for the brownrider so obvious. If she gives in -- tomorrow will break her heart.

Mohria is clung to and she pauses, looking at Livia with dark eyes.

Livia sinks against the wall as if suddenly terrified, but the dark look from Mohria does much to remind her of who she is and what she's doing here. She straightens up and takes a step forward. "Get out. Now." P'can, who was stumbling around, gets grabbed by the shirt collar and shoved out the door by the mannly woman.

Tzuzen bellows "No!" in denial, but she already knows that this is one of the few flights that won't end with her tumbling a greenrider to the floor. She storms outside, intent on making some other arrangement -- likely a nearly-satisfactory union, or at least one enormous swig of alcohol.

"No no," Joshi's babbling at this points because her color is high - almost matching the pink of the dress she wears. "Mohria.. Hicerth.. he hurt me..she hurt me." She looks at Livia... "Don't hurt me."

Mohria still pauses, torn between her desire to go dunk herself in the lake, and protecting Joshi.

Livia advances much more slowly than would be normal after a flight, some obvious inner conflict going on. She steps just a few steps away, eyeing Mohria, and holds a hand out to Joshi, much more nice and inviting than she's been all night. "Joshi..I'm sorry..Hicerth...it's...I can't help it." She looks beyond the bluerider to the greenrider that should be already in her arms.

Joshi is persistent but she has to let Mohria go because the bluerider is leaving. She mutters to Mohria, "... can't soothe... her."

Mohria gets up and quietly leaves.

Mohria makes her way down the steps to the floor of the Bowl. Mohria has left.

Joshi is left alone. She stares at Livia's hand and says, "I ..." Wilanth's lust hits her then and she's powerless to stop it. The want and lust of her own after Livia, is mingled with the flight as she steps towards the brownrider, accepting the night's passion.

Hicerth> Hicerth gives a great bellow of triumph as he ensnares the green of his desire, and his rage at his wounds and the fight to catch her fade away, his ire soothed and his world set back to rights as they drift together in the darkened sky. Happily ever after...at least until tomorrow.

Livia waits for the greenrider to come to her. After all, she's already come most of the way across the room to get to her. Her other arm comes up and she draws the other woman in close, her cheeks ruddy and streaked from previous tears. She's wide eyed, though, as she leans to put her lips to Joshi's. Just a little kiss for that moment, which easily evolves from there with a doubly ignited passion.
