Banain sips on his juice and grins to Val. "Gonna build it by yourself?" He asks jokingly and then listens to the others about him.

Rosmyn shakes her head, frowning slightly but she dismisses Valaris' comment as she peers into her klah mug and finds it empty. With a philosophical smile, she sets it aside and picks up the last of her fruit just as Livia teases the BeastCrafter. Grinning, she bites into the melon slice.

Valaris doesn't seem to notice B'rel's eyeing of him as he puts the boat down in the water puddle it made. "Thank you," he says to Banain with a smile. "See, I really could make a real one." Not. At Livia's comment to him, he seems to pause to think about it for a moment. "For the most part, yes. There was some bad parts, too...but I guess you have to take the good with the bad, don't you?"

Learan doesn't flinch at all. "Of course you do, Liv. But there's a difference between a wife and a wingman. You generally don't care where I drop my dirty socks."

Livia chuckles, "That's true. I don't care much if there are or aren't dirty socks involved.." Her good cheer dampens slightly at Valaris' comment, and she agrees, "The good rarely comes without some kind of bad, or so I've seen in my experience.."

Joshi enters the caverns, talking to a Sandstorm bluerider as she does. "Yeah I can eat on my own thanks - I'm a big girl after all." Joshi snorts at L'zet and splits off from him before he can protest. She heads over to the food table, grabbing up a bread roll and some water before taking it over to the table and with a rather loud, irritated sounding *PLOP* sinks in the seat and *BAM* Her boots find another chair. Someone's on edge.

Banain looks up from his stew at Joshi, he nods his head but wisely decides to keep his mouth shut.

Rosmyn grins at the exchange between Livia and Learan but she positively jumps at the noisy greenrider's entry, her nerves already slightly on edge for some reason. Pursing her lips slightly as her eyes widen, she looks for a distraction. Oh food to steal from B'rel. Peering at his plate, she looks for something she can plan a stealth attack on.

B'rel sets his spoon down and finally peers at Livia's new knot, sitting there on the table. "That /is/ a pretty keen thing, Livia, Ma'am. I think Rosi said so earlier but you've been a great assistant Weyrlingmaster and I think you really deserve it."

Valaris bobs his head in a little nod to Livia. "Yeah," he comments lightly. When Joshi comes storming in, he just watches her like it's just the most amazing thing he's ever seen. When she'f inally seated, he just laughs.

Learan's eyes travel to Joshi and he half-frowns. "Liv, when will you come visit us again?" he asks the new Wingleader.

Livia's gaze shifts towards the end of the table where Joshi sat, along with everyone elses, and her expression suddenly seems less cheerful. A fleeting moment of guilt as she looks away, somewhat distracted as she tells B'rel, "Well, thank you, B'rel..It was a pleasure working with you lot." Unconsciencely, her hand covers her new knot and pulls it into her lap and out of the way. She glances down the table again, then once more, distractedly replies to Learan, "Hmm? Oh, soon, I would imagine. I know I didn't come to check up on things like I said I would...but I'll make up for it."

Learan slowly nods. "Perhaps we can have you over for dinner." There, tempt the woman with vittles. That should work.

Joshi chews on her roll, the intensity at which she viciously chews becoming less as she relaxes. Her dark glower aimed at L'zet disappears as she glances around and her eyes land on Livia looking at her. When Livia looks away, Joshi just scowls turning her head as well. This isn't one happy camper here.

Rosmyn grins at Livia, agreeing with Learan. "A celebration dinner, that'd be good, wouldn't it?" Her fingers do the walking as they sneak across to steal a sweet tuber chip off of B'rel's plate. She catches Joshi's scowl at Livia and once again her eyebrows shoot up.

Livia fidgets her fingers on the edge of the table, and mmms, "Dinner sounds right nice, Learan. Not about to turn down an offer like that. Yes, yes. Rosmyn's right. Celebration." Her fingers rub against the edge of the table more furiously, as if rubbing away some unsightly blemish on the wood.

Valaris takes a long drink from his mug as he listens to the conversations around him. He just looks at whomever is speaking and smiles, nodding a bit.

Banain looks over to his other fairly silent table-mates and then glances over at Joshi, eyes then make the slide over to Livia. One eyebrow goes up, ever so slightly and then returns to where it belongs. Over his eye.

B'rel nods. "I'm all for a celebration." he smiles. He saw that tuber chip go astray, mind you, but he doesn't say anything.

Rosmyn munches happily on her ill-gotten goods. However, she peers down on the table top, wondering what Livia is cleaning but doesn't see anything. With a little shrug, she absentmindedly sneaks another chip. "Nice to have home cooking. Does Liah cook good or do you do all the cookin' Master Learan?"

Joshi drinks down her water and then grabs another roll eating it. She looks very unapproachable at the moment, her body language closed and her eyes not meeting anyone else's.

Learan chuckles at Rosmyn's question, bringing him out of his reverie. "Actually, the Hall cooks provide for us, Rosmyn. Neither of us has a lot of time to cook. When we aren't working, we're playing with the kids."

Livia manages to not even seem to notice any mention of kids. She grabs the knot from her lap and tucks it away into her pocket. Out of sight, out of mind. She sets her mug aside and gets up, commenting, "Excuse me.." And down towards the end of the table she goes. She pauses behind Joshi's chair and leans down to comment, "Hey. Can I get you any more rolls?"

Rosmyn laughs at Learan's comment. "So it's more an invite for a meal in your hall? I heard tell that some of the higher ranking crafters have a few pots and pans by their private hearths." Watching Livia, she shakes her head slightly, muttering to herself. "Better .. than me."

B'rel takes a bite of a tuber chip, chewing thoughtfully.

Banain sipping on his juice, and done with being silent turns to B'rel. "Hey, got yourself settled in alright at the new weyr?"

B'rel nods to Banain. "You'll have to come up and see it, it's the most colorful thing. I was gonna paint it over at first, but the colors are starting to grow on me a bit."

Learan tries not to follow what Livia's doing. Not his business. However, Livia is his best friend, so he keeps half an ear on her. "Oh, I'm sure we have pots and pans somewhere in the cothold," he tells Rosmyn with a wry grin.

B'rel brings his hand up to rest gently on Rosmyn's shoulder. He mutters to Rosmyn, "... need... get..."

Banain chuckles. "I went up to J'nol's weyr the other evening. It's a rather vibrant shade of yellow. Very cheery place."

Valaris gives a little smirk at Banain. "So *that* where the three of you snuck off to? I went back down the beach do find you but everyone was gone. Did you have fun?" He seems to be trying to hide a rather large grin behind his mug of cider.

B'rel nods. "Yellow fits J'nol and Omalth really well, he's cheery and Omalth's very easygoing."

Rosmyn smirks. "Well, if you burn something, you got Liah there to help you out at least, if it upsets your belly that is." As the tuber pile lessens, she stops her pilfering. "I sort of like it but I can't figure out why they made a stone wall look like another colour of stone wall. I wonder who had that weyr before you, they must have had a lot of time on their hands." She's jumpy and she startles at hand on her shoulder but shakes her head at B'rel. "Nah, I'll be fine." She grins at Banain. "Yeah J'nol said it was interestin. Not much paint in my place but I like the more natural look anyhow."

B'rel grins at Rosi. "Yours has steps from the ledge to the inner weyr, though, and that's a neat design. Mine's just flat and...real real bright." he chuckles. "Seyenth likes it, though. He thinks the colors make up for the lack of morning sun."

Joshi looks up at Livia and says almost saracastically, "Oh so you are talking to me? I couldn't have guessed when you just gave me that look just now." And yes that's stinging saracasm.

Banain eyes Valaris for awhile, before proceeding slowly. "Yea we had fun, J'nol is a fun guy to hang out with." The boy picked is words carefully and then answers Rosmyn. "The natural look is sometimes best."

Valaris tilts his head slightly to one side. "You'll ditched your other companion? That doesn't seem very nice." He gives Banain a smile before putting his mug down on the table.

The hackles on Learan's neck begin to rise at Joshi's tone, but he stays where he is. Livia's a big girl now. A big girl with a big knot who can toss just about everyone in the living cavern. "Yeah, sometimes it pays to have a Healer in the family," he says distractedly.

Livia furrows her brows and the corners of her mouth tip downward. Not in annoyance or anger, but more of a regretful frown. Her voice drops low as she leans to talk to the greenrider. She mutters to Joshi, "... you... have... bite my head... I... see if... But... that... must... you..."

You sense Livia furrows her brows and the corners of her mouth tip downward. Not in annoyance or anger, but more of a regretful frown. Her voice drops low as she leans to talk to the greenrider. "Hey, you don't have to bite my head off. I just wanted to see if you were alright. But I see that you must be, so I'll leave you to brood on your own."

Rosmyn shifts uncomfortably in her seat, her attention half on the Wingleader and rider. Just as distracted, she nods to Learan and smiles vaguely and rather lamely. 'That's nice." Suddenly, she looks over at B'rel, apologetically. "Excuse me, going to have to squeeze past you. I need to ..well anyhow. I'll see you all later." She manages a genuine grin at Learan. "Congratulations again and thanks for inviting Igen to the celebration."

B'rel nods as he leans back to allow Rosi to scoot through.

Joshi's face falters at what Livia said. She actually looks guilty and somewhat hurt. Joshi reaches out and grabs Livia's hand before she can leave. Her voice is apologetic as she says, "I'm sorry Liv... " she looks really sad. "I'm just ... " A glance around and then she says, "You felt this way the other day y'know?" Looking up at the brownrider. "And when you didn't look at me.. I thought you hated me like everyone else."

Rosmyn walks out to the Bowl. Rosmyn has left.

Banain looks up from his drink of juice and taking a swallow points out, "She was there." Then seeing Rosmyn head out he gives her a wave. "See ya later Rosi."

Livia stays put, and crouches down beside Joshi's chair so as to not tower over her. Her head shakes and she agrees, "I understand. And of course I don't hate you. Pals, remember? Are you okay?"

Valaris gives Banain a good chuckle until he hears him call out to the departing Rosmyn. He just looks in that direction, not saying or doing anything until he turns back to Banain and asks. "You mean they *still* haven't resolved things yet?" He jerks a thumb in Joshi and Livia's direction. "I think they were like that before I went to Igen Hold...only that artist girl was in there somewhere, too."

Learan relaxes. Things seems to have calmed down. He finishes his juice. "How are you enjoying your weyrlinghood?" he asks his table partners.

B'rel eyes Banain with a grin. "So, what do you say? Up for an evening elsewhere?" he thinks a moment. "We could go anywhere there's warm ocean to swim in. That's my main objective at this point." he nods over to Learan. "I'm really enjoying it now that it's almost over, sir." he smiles.

Joshi shakes her head at Livia. "It wasn't even mine ya know?" She looks Livia in the eyes. "But I'm not a fink so I won't say who gave it to me." In the quiet after her statement she happens to overhear Valaris and sends him a very scathing look.

Learan's brows rise. "Over? You're all about to graduate into the Wings?" he asks, surprised and impressed.

Banain glances over to Valaris and says, "I wouldn't know, it's none of my business." Not a dumb boy here. Then he grins over to B'rel. "Sure why not. I like the warmer oceans myself, tend not to like the ice cold ones. I'm funny like that."

Valaris heaves a rather dramatic sigh and lowers his voice. Really. "You know, they should all just lock themselves into a room and work out all their frustrations. That would solved everything." He's still looking and talking to Banain, so he doesn't really notice any looks from Joshi or Livia.

B'rel nods to Learan. "Yes, sir. Most of us are in our own weyrs now." Then nodding to Banain, "Sure. Hey, how long's it been since you've been to Boll to see your folks, Banain?"

Livia seems to have made Joshi her priority for the moment, so she's not really paying attention to the Boys. She does lower her voice again, though. She mutters to Joshi, "... never... to... names. I'm just, well,... my... and I'm..."

You sense Livia seems to have made Joshi her priority for the moment, so she's not really paying attention to the Boys. She does lower her voice again, though. "I would never ask you to name names. I'm just, well, I'm just sorry about all of this. It's really all my fault, and I'm sorry."

Learan chews on his lip, glancing at the infirmary. "I should go check on Liah. If you all would excuse me."

Banain laughs. "Boll's been coming up alot the past few days. I was just talking to Valaris about it the other day. It's been a long time.. I visited them for my turnday but that was a while ago."

Joshi doesn't even pay attention to Valaris's comment because Livia has managed to snag her full attention. Her head whips around and she stares at Livia in shock. She mutters to Livia, "... do you... it's your..." She peers up at the brownrider.

Livia senses "Joshi doesn't even pay attention to Valaris's comment because Livia has managed to snag her full attention. Her head whips around and she stares at Livia in shock. "What? What do you mean it's your fault?" She peers up at the brownrider"

B'rel nods to Learan. "Of course. Nice seeing you, Craftmaster."

Livia pauses, as if she were suddenly concerned with something and pops back up to her feet. She shakes her head, "I don't know what I mean. I'm just...I'm sorry, you'll have to forgive me, it's been a strange day." She steps a step back from where the greenrider sits.

Valaris bobs his head in a nod to Banain as he looks over towards B'rel. "Yeah, he was."

Joshi follows, standing to her feet and stepping towards Livia. "What do you mean it's your fault?" She demands to know. "You don't say something like that and then just take it back!" Her face is totally serious.

Learan passes though Livia's line of sight, hoping to catch her eye, giving her a nod and a tap to his chest. He then heads into the infirmary.

Learan enters the Infirmary. Learan has left.

Livia stops stepping back when Joshi stands up, and puts out a hand to encourage her to be quieter. She glances around quickly, watching after Learan's back for a brief second before she tries to offer any sort of explination, starting with the gesture to her arm band. She mutters to Joshi, "... not... fault... you... the sweetner, but... may be... a small... you... I had... up..."

You sense Livia stops stepping back when Joshi stands up, and puts out a hand to encourage her to be quieter. She glances around quickly, watching after Learan's back for a brief second before she tries to offer any sort of explination, starting with the gesture to her arm band. "It's not my fault that you had the sweetner, but it may be in a small part my fault that you got caught. Duty bound, remember? I had to give up those sweetened apple chips. I didn't think it would go any farther than that."

Banain gives the Craftmaster a mini-salute with his hand. "Eh. I forgot to tell him...Oh it doesn't matter." The boy says shrugging and then turns to B'rel. "Dozing off on us?"

B'rel shakes his head. "Dreaming of warm salt water and sparkly beaches."

"You didn't," Joshi says, her face falling. "Livia those weren't even sweetener!" Her hands come up gesturing to prove her point. "I just..." She shakes her head. "I just can't believe you were the one. You're supposed to be my /friend/ Livia! I would have expected H'som to say something before you did." She looks injured - hurt - betrayed. "I hope your new knot was worth it..." Ooh - try the guilt trip.

Banain hearing the exclamation coming from Joshi, glances over by quikly looks away again. "Beaches are nice.. salt water too." Nodnod. "Hey Val, what are you thinking about?" That's right, talk it up.

Livia visibly flinches, but she otherwise doesn't back down from the matter. "I am your friend, Joshi, but I had a duty. I had to. You just don't get it...You don't understand. We're different kinds of people, you and me. We do things differently."

Valaris blinks at the outburst but looks in Banain's direction. "Right now? I'm trying to decided if I used enough coats of paint on the hull of my boat." He smiles. "Or did you mean about sand, surf, and sunshine?"

B'rel wrinkles his nose. "You're gonna want a jacket tho. /between/ is cold."

Valaris looks between Banain and B'rel and just frowns. "Well, have fun," he says to the pair before looking around.

Banain notices the boy coming in. "Hello there!" He calls out and then looks to B'rel. "Jacket? Eh.. then I'll have to carry it around later." The blinks. "I never said my family had the same fear of dirty as me..." He says with puzzlment. "Hey.. I think some traders sell this paint that can help keep water out.. not full proof but pretty decent anyway." Banain comments to Valaris.

"You're right," Joshi's voice is ingrained with hurt and anger, "We are different. Unlike /SOME PEOPLE/ I don't rat on my friends and betray them. I stick up for them, no matter." Her arms cross defensively in front of her. "If you'd given me the sweetener Livia, I wouldn't have told them where it came from. I wouldn't because you're my friend and I care about you..." Her voice is rising, getting higher pitched in manner, "But obviously you don't feel the same way."

B'rel takes his dishes to the bin and puts them in carefully. "I'll meet you outside, Banain!" he calls, eager to get out of the hostile atmosphere.

B'rel walks out to the Bowl. B'rel has left.

Mahon smiles to Banain and stirs mug of klah, apparently unconcerned with the lack of sweetner that plagues the Weyr. "Evening, sir." he says and watches to female riders with a mix of curiousity and distaste.

Banain glances over at Joshi as she starts to raise her voice. "Ahhhh.." The sound comes out sorta loud and he gets out. Mad women=Bad for Banain.

Valaris looks back at Banain when he gives his suggestion. "Yeah, maybe." He seems distracted, though. "I guess you're going to Ista tonight, Banain. I guess he's mad at me to be rude and not invite me along, too. Anyway, have fun on your trip."

Banain pauses before taking off and nods to Valaris. "Hey remember we're heading to Boll to see the Lava Lounge right?" With a grin he heads out again.

Banain walks out to the Bowl. Banain has left.

Valaris calls out to the leaving Banain. "Not if some big buxomed woman snares you at Ista and keeps you there." He's laughing when he notices Mahon. "Hello," he calls over to him.

Wilanth> Banain shakes his head. "I was sorry to leave Val back there...but... Ehh.. Livia and Joshi make me scared." He says to B'rel with a grin.

Livia, on the other hand, remains calm and her voice even and quiet, "I couldn't live with myself at the end of the day if I didn't do the things I felt were right. And I haven't been able to live with myself since I put that in a report. So I guess either way, I'm sunk. My ships got no sail. You're the one who said that it was okay for me to be duty bound, that you wouldn't change a thing about me. I can't help who I am. But I'm sorry, for what it's worth."

Wilanth> B'rel sighs. "Sorry about that. I'm full aware it was rude, but frankly, I don't like the way he's treating Rosi and he's been downright nasty to me, too."

Wilanth> Banain nods his head with understanding. "It's alright. I understand, if I don't ever understand it, I'll let you know." He gives the other older boy a smile.

Wilanth> B'rel nods as he fastens his jacket and swings up onto Seyenth. Wilanth> B'rel scrambles up Seyenth forelimb and settles comfortably between his neckridges.

Mahon sidles closer to Valaris and smiles, "Good Evening, sir." The lad leans closerer to murmur, "Is this fight about sweetner?" to the other lad.

Valaris looks around him to see if a sir has accidently snuck up behind him or something. "I'm Valaris, not sir," he says with a little scrunching up his nose. "An them?" He looks over to Livia and Joshi before replying with a shrug. "I think it's a really a lover's spat. They're just using sweetner as an excuse. 'course I could be wrong." He says with another shrug of his shoulders.

Joshi flinches. To have her own words slapped back in her face like that... truly terrible. "I just don't..." Trying to mount a defense against her own phrase is hard. "I just... I'm so mad right now!" Truth at last. Joshi looks at Livia and says, "I don't think I can be near you right now Livia... I'm *THIS*" She holds up her fingers less than an inch apart, "close to saying something really ugly!"

Mahon looks faintly disconcerted but nods anyway, "I see, Valaris." the young man says as he drinks his klah and watches the pair of lasses with morbid curiousity.

Wilanth> Banain scrambles up Seyenth forelimb and settles comfortably between his neckridges.

Wilanth> Seyenth tenses, then springs upwards.

Livia lifts a hand, stepping back another step finally, "I understand, and I would deserve whatever you said, but I respect your need to not be near me. I'll let you have the cavern..." She pauses and adds, "I'll check on you tomorrow." Back another step, then another, trying to angle her moves towards the door. No fear in her features, just regret.

Joshi sits back down in her chair not saying a word to Livia as the brownrider begins to leave. One hand comes up to cover her face, over her eyes. She stays that way a few minutes. Her hand falls to the table and instead of anger, she looks sad, incredibly sad. Her dark eyes look haunted with it.

Mahon is still rather confused about what's going on, but he is clever enough to know when not to get invovled.

Livia backs a few steps more, and when Joshi sits down, she turns around and marches herself right outside. Stuck in the canine's house, apparently.

Livia walks out to the Bowl. Livia has left.

Wilanth> Livia hurries a bit as she gets out of the cavern, both hands scrubbing over her fuzzy head anxiously as she heads for where Hicerth is resting, and hides herself among his forearms to collect herself.

"That was a nice display Joshi but we've got sweeps." L'zet isn't sympathetic as he comes back. "Let's go." Silently Joshi rises to her feet and heads out into the bowl behind the bluerider.
