Dear Editorial Representative, I won my first contest in 2002 sponsored by The Thomas Wolfe Society, and am published in the 2002 Thomas Wolfe Review. I am an inspired writer who returned from a recent year spent in Prague, CZ teaching Business English. While in the backdrop of this enigmatic city, I was inspired to complete my 204,000-word novel The Sting Of Time. I received my BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I am currently working on immigrating to Canada to live with my wife, whereupon I am working on a novel set in Toronto The Sting Of Time is a family saga / generational novel that covers Lucien Peregrine's life from 1977-1999 set primarily in North Carolina. Lucien was born into a family that inherited a curse. His Father and Mother struggle to raise their large household, whereupon, one by one, the sons runaway to their disowned Uncle who runs a funeral service in the charming coastal town, Wilmington, NC. Lucien strives to grow up shrouded by the mystery of his family, and through his maturation he discovers all the beauties and sorrows of a shifting life. By the time he graduates college many secrets are unveiled, and he is left to wonder if the curse still lives within him. The Sting Of Time targets a market of readers of the Southern American Family Saga literature vein, and holds a line along an Autobiographical fiction realm. I feel that this saga is highly publishable, and my prolific creative energies can establish a loyal union potentially offering mutual benefits. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to a prompt reply. Best, Justin Kulyk [email protected] |
