A few miles past the Sonora/Sinaloa state line after passing the inspection station go left at the town of El Carrizo at a sign for El Fuerte. GPS reading here is N26°15.908' W109°02.625' In 2003 the turn was at Km 55. (This is a U-turn to the northbound lane. Go 200 yards and turn right on the paved road.) Drive north 36 miles (58 km). The RVP is on the left only a few meters before the road makes a sharp right turn.
At Los Mochis go right at the highway sign for El Fuerte on Hwy 32 (at Km 204.5 in 2003). Drive north 45 miles (72 km) to Pemex #5362 on the right. Go left at the highway for El Carrizo. In .8 miles (1.3 km) where the highway bends left go in almost straight just past the old house.
