Miscellaneous Promos
They've got so many promos in Japan that it's hard to keep track of all of them.
I'm not even sure if I'm correct in saying where some of these cards come from.

This Ancient Mew promo card was given away at a Pokmon movie.
I'm not exactly sure what movie, but it might be the same one where Wizards gave away the American version.
They are so ahead on the movies in Japan that they might even be on their 7th one already. ^,^

This Ancient Mew card has the misprint on it.
If you would like to see it, just click on it to see the larger image.
On the bottom of the card, you will see "Nintedo" instead of "Nintendo"

I'm not exactly sure where this Marril promo came from.
There's a good chance that it might have been one of the
KoroKoro Comic promos.

I've also heard that this card was planned as a Neo promo card.
They say this because it has the same expansion symbol
as the other Neo cards.

I'm not exactly sure where this Pikachu promo came from either.
I'm guessing it's from the KoroKoro Comic Fan Club Magazine again.
They've had so many Pokmon promos, probably almost all came from them.
Too bad we don't get that magazine here ^,^

This Pikachu promo card was released to promote Pokmon Snap.
I'm just assuming this because of the expansion symbol
of a camera on the card.

Yup, you guessed it! I don't know where this came from either.
See a trend forming? ^,^

I've heard that this Pikachu promo did not come from a KoroKoro Comic,
but actually as part of a Toyota Car promotion.
Man, it's so popular over there that
everybody's throwing a Pokemon promotion.

Somebody should tell them to "throw" some over here!

This Electabuzz promo card was inside the Pokmon Card File.
The card file is a little card folder that holds about 104 Pokmon cards.

This Electabuzz promo card has an English version.
It was given as one of the promos during the Pokemon: Mewtwo's Revenge movie.

Finally, I know exactly where this promo card comes from.

This Dragonite promo card was inside the
Japanese GameBoy Pokmon Trading Card Game.
Hence the "GB" expansion symbol on the card.

The American version of the Pokmon Trading Card Game features the GB Meowth promo card instead.

I can't believe it!
I finally got my hands on this Mew promo card.
I'm not really sure where this card came from
but I think it was from an early issue of KoroKoro Magazine.
This is the famous Masaki Pass card.
This card was available only for a limited time in the
1st editions of the Japanese Vending Sheets Series III.
After a certain amount of productions, it was replaced by another Imakuni card.

When a lucky person got this from a sheet,
they were supposed to mail it in and get one of three
Vending Machine holo-foil cards.
You know, the ones that were selling for $100+ on auctions.

As for me, no such luck.
I got this one year too late. Grrr!

Sorry about this French promo card being here.
I just didn't know where to put it. I don't have a French promo section.

This Pikachu is not the one found in the Olympic Set.
This card is similar to the Pikachu the Movie Pikachu promo given out.
I haven't seen any of the other promos in French though :(

These promo cards were from the Japanese
Trading Card Game II
for Gameboy Color.

You can tell by the "GB" emblem where the expansion symbol is supposed to be.
