Heriberto "Eddie" Seda
On November 17 1989 police officers opened a letter that read: "This is The Zodiac" it warned of murders to come, 12 to be exact one for each zodiac sign. The writer of the letter also claimed to have commited one murder to date. With no evidence of a crime the police dismissed the letter and it's warnings as a hoax.

Five months later in March of 1990 the crimes began. A man named Mario Orozco was shot while walking through Brooklyn. Luckily he survived the attack. Then 21 days later on March 29 a 30 year old man is shot through his liver but also survives. Then again 2 days later another victim shot in his kidney, he survived the initial attack but months later died. In June another attack on man sleeping on a bench in Central Park, and again the victim survives.

After months of terror, the killing seems to have stopped but begins again 2 years later. His first murder victim a woman named Patricia Fonti is shot twice and stabbed 100 times while walking through Highland Park on August 10 1992. Months pass,  then on June 4 1993 Jim Weber is shot and survives. A little over a month later he strikes again Joseph Diacone is shot in the neck and dies. On Ocober 1993 a woman is shot like the last victim yet she survives.

Finally Seda is arrested on March 10 1994, for weapons charges, but somehow the .22 calibre gun is destroyed and he is released. Then on June 18 1996 in a domestic dispute Seda shoots his sister and 911 is called. When his confession was seen by police it had a eery resemblance to a letter they had seen before. When compared to The Zodiac Letters, the writing matched and so did his fingerprints. He was convicted of 3 counts of murder and sentenced to 83 years in prison, but later his sentence was changed to 152 years.
