- He would chisel out a panel of glass from the victim's back door in order to gain entry
into the residence.
- Most victims were Italian grocers.
- He always used an axe and most of the time he would leave the axe on the victim's backyard.
- Joseph Mumfre was believed to be the killer (one of the killers), however he was killed by
the last victim's wife before he could be questioned.
