It is late in the 23rd century, at the ignaguration of the new USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-B. The event is attended by the crew of the original Enterprise, James T. Kirk, Motgomery Scott and Pavel Chekov.. Reporters on the bridge of the ship begging to interview Jim Kirk and the new captain about what its like to command a starship. As the ship is embarking on a routine maden voyage, the ship recieves a distress call from two El-Aurian tranpsort vessels which are caught in a mysterious energy ribbon. Kirk finds to his dismay that many of the ships vital weapons and functions have not yet been installed, and the new captian is very inexperianced. As the old crew tryes to save the ship, the new crew proceeds to beam the survivors of the transport vessels aboard as thier ships are being ripped apart by the ribbon.
Kirk goes below deck to work on the deflector relay, but the ribbon suddenly changes course and hits the starship, tearing a gash in the hull of the ship, leaving only debris where Kirk was working.
Seventy-eight years later, in 2371, the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D gather in the holodeck to celebrate the promotion of Lt Worf (a Klingon officer) to the rank of Lt Commander.The ceremony is held onboard a 19th century sailing vessel and corrisponding uniforms. Unfortunatly, Picard recieves a urgent personal call and leaves the festivities tothink in private.
Data Geordi LaForge successfully install an emotion chip designed by Data's creator, Dr Noonien Soong, into the android.
..The USS Enterprise is then sent to the Amargosa Observatory to investigate a distress call. There, they find two dead Romulans and five humans left alive after a mysterous bloody attack. One of these survivors is a Dr Tolian Soran. While investigating the laboratory. Data and LaForge find traces of a voilital explosive which Soran has concealed in the lab. Then, LaForge is kidnapped by Soran and taken to a cloaked Klingon vessel. After questioning LaForge proves fruitless, he releases the starship officer-- but only after secretly modifing his VISOR to transmit its |
