There has been some confusion about the format of the Serge Awards.
The purpose of the Serge Awards is (obviously) to honour and showcase works of fiction and art that have been posted to the Serge mailing list.
There is no nomination process for these awards. Any and all works that have been posted to Serge in the past year are eligible for an award. However, only authors and artists who want to participate are listed; some people don't want anything to do with awards, which is perfectly understandable. The list of stories and artwork listed on this site were submitted to me by their respective authors/artists for consideration.
