Sardegna

Here is my travel through the Sardegna's coasts (look at the red line to see my journey)
This was a beautiful holiday. Sardegna, wonderful seesights through all its coasts, mediterranean scents, transparent sea and white bright seasides. We were a good team, two couple and two motorcycles (one Crm Honda 125 and one Vespa). No hotels, only campings, we had our tents and, saving money in sleeping, we spent them on food going almost every night to the restaurant and enjoying in that way the particular sardinian cooking.
We started from Genova with Sardinia Ferries. We arrived to Porto Torres and took S.Caterina di Pittinuri near Bosa. It was only for one night because the day after we left going to Carloforte a small town of S.Pietro island...you can see it at south-west of the map above. We stayed there some days than we went to Villasimius doing many km. and passing through the chief town of Sardegna : Cagliari. Here we stopped for three days in a pleasant camping with a long seaside and a comfortable open-bar on the grass where Luca and I drank some beers to the breeze of the night...(the girls were sleeping in the tent, we were too tired to do something else...!!!).
From Villasimius we went to Cala Gonone at the precise middle of Golfo di Orosei on the oriental side of Sardegna. This is a small but wonderful town. To arrive to Cala Gonone you have to go down from Dorgali, a town at about 1000 meters from the sea level, it is unique to go down from the mountain to the sea doing all those hairpin bend with your motorcycle ! After 10 km you are in the town, quiet and animate in the same time. Here is one of the most beautiful camping in Sardegna (Camping Cala Gonone) and here we stopped for the rest of our holidays.
Only one year later I went there another time with my girlfriend and we took the boat to Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu and Cala Gabbiano...if it happens that you'll be there, listen to me, take this boat and visit those wonderful places, it will remains always in your mind.
