Costiera Amalfitana

Look to the red line on the map...this is the journey we did with my motorcycle
We arrived to Napoli from Cagliari in the morning, we were there at 10.30 am. When we were off the ship we took the way to Sorrento. Immediately we felt a different kind of atmosphere, it was not the same as Sardegna, we didn't visit Napoli. We will visit it the next time. From Napoli to Torre del Greco the atmosphere is not so beautiful, but when you arrive to Vico Equense, it doesn't seem the same road, the same place, the same region !!! It changes so much, it looks much more beautiful and much pleasant. Once we arrived at Sorrento we took a place in the "Nube Argento" camping...very nice. The landscape in front of our tent was wonderful : Sorrento's gulf and Capri. If you have seen it you can't forget it. The day after we went to Massa Lubrense, Positano, Praiano, Amalfi we were stunned : it was great !
An entire day was dedicated to Capri, who doesn't know it ?!? It is unique, it has an atmosphere that leaves something to you when you come back. We visited all little alleys of this pearl of Italy, taking also an ice-cream in the famous "piazzetta". If you go there spend few time to go to the natural arch.
Coming back to Genova
The holidays were almost over...we had to come back to Genova with our motorcycle...always through statal ways...something like 850 km from Sorrento (our base). So, we decided to take a ferryboat from Gaeta to Ponza and from Ponza to Anzio instead of going by motorbike. We spent only one night in Ponza but I remember that...it was very hot, but it was not a big problem, we were happy anyway. We found a dependance in one of the most beautiful hotels of the island indeed in Ponza it does not exist any camping, and we risked to have to sleep on the beach !
After that unforgettable night, we left Ponza with a ship and arrived to Anzio, a city not so far from Roma. That day we did a lot of way, we arrived to Grosseto at 21 pm after a non stop driving day ! We could not easily find an hotel that night...we had to go around till 23 pm...when finally we found a "cheap" room. A big italian pizza was the end of the last day of this holiday...it was tiring but very nice !
