Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who continue to kill the prophets and to stone those who are sent to you.. How often I have desired and yearned to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Look your house is left to you desolate, I tell you, you will not see me again until you say "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
  Luke l3 34-35

Jesus speaks to us from Matthew 6 on prayer:  "and when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray- go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.  Then your Father, who see's what is done in secret, will reward you. Then this is how you should pray."
THE LORDS PRAYER
Our Father in heaven
hallowed be your name
your kingdom come
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
forgive us our debts
as we also have forgiven our debtors
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6 5-13

Years ago I asked God what my spiritual gifts are, He told me He gave me the gifts of mercy and  compassion and a caring-sharing ministry, hence the name Mary ann's Care and Share..  I love visiting people in nursing homes and hospitals as that is what God has called me to do.. I also like to write people who feel no one cares, who are lonely, widows, shut in's,  so write me and I will get back to you.  I hope you enjoy your visit looking thru my site and please come again as I will be adding new pages often.. Our Spiritual Gifts - when we give our lives to the Lord, He gives us each spiritual gifts, the bible explains this in l Corinthians l2.4  "There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit.  There are different ways to serve the same Lord, and we can each do different things.  Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do.  The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others. Some of us can speak with wisdom, while others speak with knowledge, but these gifts come from the same spirit. To others the Spirit has given great faith or the power to heal the sick, or the power to work mighty miracles. Some of us are prophets and some of us recognize when Gods spirit is present.  Others speak different kinds of languages.  But it is the spirit who does all this and decides which gifts to give to each of us."   1 Cor. 12 4-ll
