A/N:I came up with this fic after reading the Stars manga #1...the part where Rei and Minako tell the Starlights that they don't need any men...So, I guess this is more or less based on the manga plot than the anime plot line. So try and forget everything you know about the anime and focus on the manga storylines.
Anyroad, I don't want any flames from narrow minded people that try to pretend that situations such as the one I'm about to present do not exist.
If the thought of two women in love bother you, don't read any Haruka and Michiru fics and...don't read this one. ^_^

Venus and Mars
Rei sighed heavily as she pulled her car to a stop outside the bar. She had been to almost every bar in Tokyo looking for her friend Minako...The rain was still pouring down when Rei got out of the car and ran for the door of the bar.
She approached the bartender and asked, "Have you seen a girl in here tonight? About 5 foot 4 inches tall, blond hair, blue eyes, big red bow in her hair, and upset about her boyfriend leaving her."
The bartender nodded toward the form at the back of the bar, slouched over a bottle and a glass. Rei sighed again and walked to her friend.
"Minako-chan..." Rei said, stroking Minako's hair in a loving manner. Minako deserved so much better than the rock-star she had just broken up with... Minako needed someone that would love her endlessly with the passion and devotion the Venusian Princess deserved... Rei put her arms around Minako's shoulders and whispered, "Everything will work out Minako-chan...You'll meet the nice man you have always dreamed of someday."
Minako sighed and turned her head to look into Rei big purple eyes. "The reason we broke up is because of his best friend."
"Men can be like that at times Minako-chan," Rei chuckled. "They prefer spending time with their guy friends..."
"No... His best friend is a girl."
"Oh..." Rei said flatly. "That bastard... How could he do such a thing to you..."
"No, Rei-chan," Minako said lightly. "He broke up with me after he caught his best friend kissing me."
"Why?" Rei asked, slightly confused.
"Well... For obvious reasons. And then she left me because she thought I had left him after the two of us got together..."
Rei stepped back in shock. Of all the people she knew, she never would have thought Minako would have been that way. She watched as Minako's shoulders shook as the Love Senshi started crying again.
"I knew you wouldn't accept it," Minako whimpered. "I barely accept it myself... That's why I didn't break up with my boyfriend after I got together with her. But now, I see that I loved her so much..."
Rei put her arms around Minako's shoulders again. "No, no, no Minako... It just caught me by surprise," Rei whispered in Minako's ear. She stroked Minako's cheek lovingly. "I would suggest you find the man that could make you happy... But I guess now you have to look for the woman that could love you and be true to you the way you deserve... Like Haruka loves Michiru."
Minako smiled and sighed with contentment. "Who would you suggest Rei-chan," she purred, lightly caressing Rei's hand.
"Let me get you home Minako... You've had a little too much to drink..." Rei said, noting the half empty bottle of whiskey.
"Oh, that... It was that empty when I got it... I haven't had one drink yet. But I do agree that you should take me back to my apartment, it's raining and it would be a longer walk..."
Minako put the cap back on the whiskey bottle and handed it to Rei. "Put this in the back of your car would you Rei-chan?"
The two of them exited the bar. Rei walked to her small trunk and opened it. She was lost in thought when Minako's small hands slid around her waist. Rei dropped the bottle in her trunk and shut it quickly. Minako rested her head between Rei's shoulders and sighed lightly.
Rei was frozen in place. If she didn't know any better, she's think Minako was coming on to her... Rei took a deep breath. The Pheonix decal on her rear window seemed to have glowing eyes... "Minako-chan..."
"Shhh..." Minako whispered, putting a gentle finger over Rei's lips. "You know how I said I should find the woman that could love me... I agree... But, I'm not sure she would feel the same way..."
"She might... You never know," Rei replied. "Get in the car Minako..."
Minako lightly sniffed Rei's hair. "Has anyone ever told you that you smell good?" Rei shook her head. "Well, you do."
Minako gave a cute giggle and flounced to the passengers side of the car and got in. Rei took a deep breath and got in the drivers side. Rei was lost in thought as she drove her red Firebird down the streets of Tokyo.
By time they reached Minako's apartment, Rei had come to a decision... She accompanied Minako up to her apartment. Even though Minako hadn't had anything to drink, the girl was tired and barely able to walk herself up the stairs.
"Thank you Rei-sama," Minako whispered, unlocking her door. "Would you like to come in?"
Rei gazed into Minako's big blue eyes. The eyes looked soft and inviting, not to mention they held a trace of love and affection. Rei felt her heart flutter. "Yes... I will," she said in a soft tone.
Minako smiled sweetly and opened the door. She turned on the light and Rei was greeted with the usual decor that was Minako's three favorite colors: Yellow, orange, and... Red.
Why hadn't she ever realized it before? Rei wondered. The two of them had always been close, why had she never noticed that maybe Minako had been in love with her? Her mind flashed back to the days when the Starlights had been around... Minako had pulled her close and one of them had said they didn't need any men.
Of course, at the time, Rei had thought it meant that they didn't need a man because they had the mission of protecting their princess. That was still true, but so was the idea that they didn't need men for love.
Rei thought a long moment... In the end it made sense. All the senshi could really depend on, was eachother. At least Haruka and Michiru had realized that already...
Minako's arms wrapped around her waist. "Would you like something to drink Rei-sama?"
Rei realized her throat was rather dry. "Hai," she managed. She sat on the cushiony red velvet sofa and waited for the drink Minako had gone to get. Why was she so nervous? She had known Minako for a long time, they fought evil together... Both would readily give their life to preserve the life of their princess... To tell the truth, they had given their lives several times.
Minako skipped into the room with two glasses of iced water. Rei flushed slightly when Minako's fingers lightly touched her own. "Don't be so nervous Rei-sama... It's still me," Minako said sweetly.
Rei took a long drink of water then scooted closer to Minako and said in a low voice. "It's just... I don't know... What do I do? What's it like? Do I just kiss you like I would a guy?" She set her glass on the glass-top table.
Minako stopped in mid drink and gazed at Rei with sparkling eyes. She set her glass down. "You want to kiss me?"
Rei blushed lightly then nodded.
"All you do is lean over and kiss me," Minako said with a light smile.
Rei reached up with a hesitant, shakey hand and touched Minako's cheek. She took a deep breath a slid her fingers into Minako's thick blond hair. She couldn't believe what she was about to do...
The moment their lips touched... the phone rang. Minako shot the retched thing a dirty glare then got up to answer it. "Moshi, Moshi!" Minako answered a little too cheerfully for having such a mad expression on her face. "You have the wrong number Usako... No, I'm fairly certain this isn't Mamo-chan's cell phone. You must have accidentally inverted the 2 and 7 again...ja ne Usagi-chan."
Minako hung up the phone and flounced over to the sofa. "Now... Where were we..." The phone rang again. "Shimatte!" She ran to answer the phone again. "Usa, if something is inverted it means you had it backwards... instead of dialing 27 as the last two numbers... next time you dial, dial 72 instead. If you must know... It's because you have interrputed me and my soon to be lover twice. Oh... They have shiny raven black hair and glimmering purple eyes. Usagi... Ja ne." She hung up the phone then turned off the ringer.
A lump formed in Rei's throat as she watched Minako slowly walk back to the sofa and sit down. They both took a long drink of water and set their drinks aside again. Had Minako said "soon to be lover?"
"Minako..." Rei said but was cut off by Minako leaning forward and softly kissing her. Her heart began to beat faster, she leaned toward the blond love senshi and deepened the kiss.
Minako gave a soft whimper and melted against her submissively. They entwined their fingers on one hand while the other busied itself in the other's long hair.
The answering machine clicked and Usagi's questioning voice came over the speaker. "Mamo-chan?...Moshi, moshi? Mamo-chan? Shimatte..." click.
Rei and Minako ended the kiss in a fit of laughter.
"The mouth on our princess," Minako chuckled. "Let's go to the bedroom."
"I... I... I..." Rei stammered. "I don't know what to do..."
Minako placed a finger over Rei lips. "Don't worry Rei-sama. I'll show you."
With light steps, Rei followed Minako to the bedroom. Her heart was racing with anticipation as Minako closed the door so the sound of the answering machine couldn't be heard. She turned as Minako began to unbutton the front of her dress.
"Just sit on the bed and Minako will take care of you Rei-sama," Minako said sweetly as her dress fell to the floor. Her soft hands came down on Rei's shoulders and pushed her to sitting on the side of the bed.
"Aren't we moving this relationship a little fast?" Rei asked with a shakey voice, as Minako straddled her thighs.
Minako smiled and ran her fingers through Rei's black hair. "Rei-sama... I'm the Goddess of Love... There's no such thing as too fast for me. Unless... you don't want to..."
"No, I do... It's just..."
"It's your first time... Of course you're nervous," Minako smiled against her lips. "Relax love, there's nothing to be afraid of. You've probably had guys tell you that they wouldn't hurt you your first time. But I'm the only one that will be telling the truth when I say it."
Rei relaxed a little. She slid her hands along Minako's long legs and put her hands on her hips. "Kami-sama," Rei smiled. "You have such soft skin..." She slid her hands up Minako's back and un-did the silky little bra.
"Now who's the one moving too fast?" Minako teased softly kissing Rei's lips as she let her lover removed the little article of clothing.
Rei tasted the inside of Minako's sweet mouth as her hands carressed her breasts. She wanted to kiss Minako again before they went any further.
Minako's eager fingers quickly unbuttoned Rei's poet's blouse and pushed it off Rei's shoulders. She stood up and pulled Rei to standing as well.
Rei stood there in a daze as Minako slowly undressed her then made her sit down again. She pulled Minako close and softly kissed her between her breasts as she slid the silky panties down Minako's legs. She breathed in Minako's flowery scent and realized it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. She rather liked the feeling of Minako's soft body as opposed to a man's hard one.
Minako put a finger under Rei's chin and made her look up. "What do you think so far Rei-sama?" Minako purred, stroking Rei's lips with her thumb.
Rei closed her eyes as she caught Minako's thumb lightly between her teeth and began to softly suck on the tender digit. Hearing Minako take a slow, ragged breath made her open her eyes. The big blue pools were shining with desire.
The beautiful Love Senshi smiled and sat on the bed. She motioned for Rei to follow as she scooted toward the middle. Rei was transfixed by the look of innocence in Minako's eyes, she could do nothing but follow.
She fell into Minako's soft embrace and kissed her deeply. Her back pressed into the mattress and Minako straddled her across the waist. The feeling of Minako's long hair against her skin made her body tingle with excitement. Her hands eagerly stroked Minako's sides, hips, breasts, and buttocks while Minako's busied themselves touching Rei's face and threading through the black hair.
Rei gasped as Minako softly rubbed against her.
"Something wrong?" Minako whispered, lifting her head.
"No," Rei smiled. "But I wouldn't mind if you did what you just did again..."
Minako grinned as she moved against Rei again, only making it a slower and deeper movement. "If you like that... Then you'll love this," Minako said softly, laying beside Rei. She softly kissed Rei's lips and throat before moving lower to tease Rei's breasts with her tongue.
She lightly stroked Rei's flat stomach with the tips of her fingers then set her goal lower. Minako smiled when Rei squirmed slightly at the touch of her fingers. "Relax Rei-chan," she said with a cute voice, trailing her tongue back up to Rei's lushious lips.
Rei shivered slightly as Minako's soft hand stroked the insides of her thighs. She relaxed as Minako's nimble little fingers eased inside her body. 'So that's what I do...' thought Rei. She slid her own hand down Minako's stomach and between her thighs.
Minako gave a small satisfied sigh as Rei pushed her finger inside. The two women shared a long, possessive kiss, then pulled away from eachother panting for a breath.
Rei smiled as Minako laid her head on her shoulder and sighed peacefully. She treaded her fingers through the long blond hair as she stared up at the ceiling, lost in her own thoughts.
"Rei-sama," Minako whispered. "There's something else we can do..."
"Really?"
"Mmm-hmm..." Minako beamed.
"And what would that be," Rei asked with a soft tone.
"This," Minako whispered, lightly kissing Rei's lips.
Rei felt a grin tease her mouth as Minako places feather light kisses from her lips to her navel. The feel of Minako's hair on her slightly tickled but felt throughly sensual. Minako's tongue lightly touched the small indention in Rei's stomach, making her stiffle a giggle.
"My Rei-sama is ticklish," Minako teased, then touched her tongue to the area again.
Minako nibbled around Rei's navel then finished her journey to the soft area between Rei's thighs. Rei sighed softly as Minako lightly stroked the area with her fingers. She gasped slightly when Minako's tongue replaced the fingers.
Rei closed her eyes and gave into the gentle strokes of Minako's tongue inside of her. She moistened her lips and sighed softly at the sensual attack on her flesh. Minako's hands slid up and cupped her breasts and gently squeezed them.
Both moaned at the tingling sensations they were feeling throughout their bodies.
Minako lifted her head and took a deep breath. She licked her lips and smiled before moving back to Rei's soft mouth.
Rei wrapped her legs around Minako's waist as they moved against eachother. "Minako," Rei groaned.
Finally, Rei felt a beautiful rush of relief through her body like she had never felt before.
The two lovers collasped, panting for breaths.
"That was..." Rei took a deep breath and tried to think of a word that would best describe what they had just shared. "Beautiful..."
Minako snuggled up to her and kissed her neck. "Hai," the love senshi sighed breathlessly. "Beautiful..."

The next morning...
Usagi pushed the door to Minako's apartment open. "Minako-chan?" she called softly. She wanted to apologize for calling so many times while Minako had been wooing a lover.
She glanced over her shoulder and waved back at Mamoru, who was waiting in the car. Slowly, she made her way into the little apartment. Surely Minako's "friend" would have left by now...
But the heavy groans from Minako's bedroom gave indications that they hadn't. Usagi felt herself blush as she heard Minako give one final pleasurable groan.
After a moment of silence, she heard some soft talking and a gentle laugh. Minako's bedroom door opened and Minako stepped out in her red robe.
"Usagi!" Minako yelped.
Usagi felt herself blush again. "Your door was open a little..."
Minako's eyes softened and she smiled sweetly. "Gomen ne," Minako said, blushing.
"Iie Minako-chan," Usagi stated. "I am sorry for calling so many times last night..." She grinned wicked. "So who is the lucky young man?" She glomped Minako's arm. "With the raven-black hair and big purple eyes?"
Minako chuckled slightly. "Well... *She* is sleeping right now if you want to take a peek..."
"She?" Usagi asked curiously, looking up from where she had her head laid upon Minako's arm.
"Hai..." Minako said breathlessly, easing the door open.
The two of them tiptoed into the room. Usagi's eyes widened when she recognized the sleeping form under Minako's blankets. She took a deep breath to say something, but Minako's hand covered her mouth.
Once back in the little hallway, Minako took her hand from over Usagi's mouth.
"Rei-chan?" Usagi squeaked in a low, disbelieveing tone.
Minako blushed and giggled. "Hai..."
Usagi smiled and hugged the leader of the inner senshi, chosen to protect her. "I am happy for you Minako-chan."
"Arigato Usako..." Minako replied sweetly.
"I am sorry for disturbing you last night..." Usagi repeated.
"Minako-chan?" Rei softly called.
"I'll be there shortly Rei-sama," Minako chimed. She hugged Usagi again. "Do not worry about it Usako... All is well now."
Usagi bowed slightly and hurried out the door, making sure to close the door behind her.
**
Minako sighed wistfully as she filled herself a glass full of iced water. She took a long drink then eyed the cubes with a smile, as she headed for her room again.
A smiled tugged at her lips when she opened her door and saw Rei sitting on the middle of the bed, completely naked, except for the long strands of black hair that fanned around her.
"I've had my nap..." Rei said in a sultry voice.
"And I have my ice water," Minako grinned, setting her glass on the night stand. She slowly removed her robe and let it fall carelessly to the floor.
Rei smiled coyly.
"And if you don't mind," Minako added, fishing a cube from her glass. "There's something else I wanted to show you..."
Minako placed the little cube between her front teeth and jumped onto the bed, causing Rei to yelp and giggle loudly.
