Chapter 2: Brisbane
I've skipped ahead to the next morning because...I'm being lazy ^~ Just to clarify that, lol.
Blah = Devil talking to Jin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jin yawned and opened his eyes. He smiled at his friend's back and sat up. This was the third time Jin had woken up in bed with Hwoarang and he was starting to really enjoy it. He leaned over and kissed the redhead's bare shoulder before getting up. Last night, to Jin's delight, he discovered that Hwoarang liked to sleep in the nude. So there he was...naked under the covers. It took every ounce of Jin's will to stop himself from taking a peek (or copping a feel...whichever came first). The dark-haired man stood and slowly walked to the washroom. He slid his boxers off and grabbed the tiny complimentary bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The two fighters were staying in a hotel until they found an apartment. Jin turned the shower on and slipped behind the curtain into the warm spray of water. The Japanese was washing his hair when an intense feeling washed over his body. Jin fell against the back wall of the shower. He didn't even flinch when shampoo ran down his face, stinging his eyes. He could feel the devil inside of him stirring.
"Stop it..." He growled softly to himself.
He's alive, Kazama. My other half...
"Shut up. Leave me alone."
The devil's laughter echoed through Jin's head. Just realizing there was suds in his eyes, Jin stuck his head under the spray-washing the soap off. He blinked rapidly until the stinging went away. The dark-haired youth paused, the devil presence was gone-dormant once more. The fighter quickly finished washing and exited the shower. He dried off and put his boxers back on. They would have to go clothes shopping today. The only clothes Jin had were his boxers, borrowed sweatpants, jeans, and coat. Hwoarang only had his leather jeans, grey shirt, and infamous goggles. Jin made his way back to the bedroom and pulled his jeans on. Hwoarang was still fast asleep, hair adorably mussed. Jin smiled at his companion before walking back out into the main room. He grabbed a bottled water from the mini-fridge and walked out onto the balcony. Brisbane stretched on for miles, just like Tokyo. It was eight in the morning but the city was already bustling with people and traffic, just like Tokyo. Jin sort of missed Japan already but he knew the feeling would pass. At least he wasn't here alone. At least he had Hwoarang with him. Jin jumped when two strong arms wrapped around his waist.
"Jumpy..." Hwoarang teased, smirking. "Is me being up so early such a shock?"
"Yes." Jin replied, smiling.
"Asshole..." The redhead grumbled, kissing Jin's neck.
The shorter man laughed quietly, leaning back against his friend.
"Your hair looks cute when it's down..." Hwoarang added, playing with a lock of wet ebony hair.
"Thanks."
"That cowlick you call a hairstyle is pretty cute too..."
"Thanks." Jin laughed.
"So? What are we going to do today?"
"Find an apartment, go shopping...that kind of stuff."
"Sounds fun." The Korean mumbled, resting his chin on Jin's shoulder.
A blush slowly colored Jin's cheeks. "Hwoarang? Are you still naked?"
"Yup."
"You do realize that someone might see you."
"So?"
The dark-haired man sighed and shook his head. "You're crazy."
"But you like me anyway."
"I know...sad isn't it?"
Hwoarang scowled, gently biting Jin's shoulder in protest. Jin just laughed and finished his water off.
"C'mon. Go get dressed. We'll go buy a paper and go apartment shopping."
"Fine fine. Man...I feel like I'm married to you or something..."
Jin frowned, "Want your own place? I'll buy you one."
Hwoarang shook his head and turned to go inside. "No that's ok. If Heihachi finds us you might need me to protect you."
Jin smirked and watched Hwoarang's bare ass vanish into the bedroom.
[He's got a nice butt...]
Kazama smiled to himself and walked back inside to fetch his coat from the bedroom.
"You should throw that coat out, Kazama. It's still bloody."
Jin sighed, "I will once I buy new clothes. I don't have a shirt."
A Cheshire grin tugged at Hwoarang's lips.
"Don't even say it." The Japanese warned.
Hwoarang pouted for a second before shrugging and walking out.
---------------------
"You've got to be kidding me." Hwoarang said, staring up at the store's name.
"What?"
"This is where you get shit like...flood pants and sweater vests! Kazama...you need help."
Jin frowned, "All right then. You find a clothing store."
The Korean grinned, "Ok."
"I'm going to regret saying that...aren't I?"
"Of course not! C'mon!"
------------------------
"See? Much better. Not so...school-boy-ish...."
Jin walked up to one of the full-length mirrors. He was wearing black jeans and a black button-up shirt with a tiger embroidered onto it.
Jin admired his reflection and nodded, "Now I look like you..."
Hwoarang snorted. "Bah..."
"I'm kidding. I like it."
Hwoarang smiled, "C'mon. Let's pay for this stuff and check out that apartment."
------------------------
"Two bedrooms: one upstairs, one downstairs. A spacious living room. Two bathrooms: one connected to the bedroom downstairs and the other just right of the front hall. A large kitchen..." The real estate agent blabbed on.
Jin listened to the women intently while Hwoarang just gawked at the two story loft. He never knew apartments could have more than one level!!
"...Walk in closets, a Laundromat right across the street."
"How much is rent?" Hwoarang interrupted.
"A deal at eight hundred fifty a month." The woman replied.
"That is fu..."
Jin clamped one hand over Hwoarang's mouth. "We'll take it."
"Excellent!" The woman beamed. "I'll just go down to my car and grab the papers!"
The blonde agent rushed off and Jin released his captive.
"Eight hundred and fucking fifty dollars a month!?"
"That's small change to me." Jin replied, grinning. "Trust me. We can afford it. And eight fifty is a deal for a two level apartment in the downtown. Look, the balcony is big enough to be a small backyard."
Hwoarang sighed, "Ok. It's your money, hotshot."
"Can't you call me Jin?"
"Nope. Then I'd be admitting I actually like you..."
"But on the plane..."
"I said I was attracted to you and that you're fucking hot. I never said I liked you."
Jin smirked, "And you kissing me while naked doesn't confirm the fact that you like me."
"I don't like you." Hwoarang insisted, mouth curved slightly. "By the way. I call the upstairs bedroom."
"You're not going to sleep with me!?"
Hwoarang burst into laughter and Jin turned red.
"I didn't mean it like that!!" The Japanese protested.
"Sure you didn't."
"Here we are!!" The agent said, walking in. "Just sign here."
Jin read every single paper over before signing. He took his cheque book out and wrote cheques for the first month's rent and a security deposit.
"Welcome to your new home!" The agent said, smiling.
