Serene Molestation began in the earliest incarnation as the two man Goregrind band known as Anal Spewicide.  Then the band was only Chris doing Vocals, and Rory doing Bass and Drum Programming, but both Chris and Rory wanted something more, more depth than the simple gore and groove which Anal Spewicide stood for then.  That was when we met guitarist Dylan, and started jamming out some new songs with him, playing the first show July 26th 2006. Shortly after we met 2nd guitarist Simon, and he completed the lineup for what would prove to be two more shows.  His skills and ideas allowed the band to push their sound further, inspiring new ideas in each member.
Sadly, guitarist Dylan had to leave the band, due to personal and musical differences, and the band found current guitarist Justin, who brought an awe-inspiring level of sickness to the band.  The band played a number of shows with this lineup, finding that some of the best songs were written during this period, and entering 2007 with a fresh attitude, ready to show the world the sickness that was lying in wait.
In April, 2007, the band decided that Anal Spewicide was too simple of a name, labelling the band solely as a humerous Goregrind band, when they were much more.  After considering many other monkiers, they opted for the name Serene Molestation, feeling that it encompassed and represented the ideas and concepts present in the music, showing that there was passion behind the music being played.  However, all good things seem to come to an end.
In June, 2007, the newly re-named Serene Molestation played a show with Goregrind legends Regurgitate, receiving much praise and getting a good crowd reaction.  However, shortly after the show, due to differences on both a personal and musical level, the band parted ways with long-time guitarist Simon.  Sad to see him go, the band nonetheless moved forward, finding a replacement in a long time supporter, Yousef.
Yousef's understanding of technicality and death metal have now allowed the band to move forward, recording a split Cd to be released on Scab Bombardment, and a demo due out September 18th, as well as confirming shows with Unmerciful and NecronomicoN.
The band moves forward, always eager to molest with serenity the ear drums of those unsuspecting.  And occasionally those suspecting.
