It's For The Best
"Maybe its for the best!"  What a crass and ignorant remark!  "Oh, your mom just died, well; maybe its for the best!"  "Your hours got cut back, your pay cut drastically and you need to sell your house because of that...well, maybe its for the best!"  Totally unconscionable, unscrupulous, uncouth and downright lowbrow!

What leads people to stoop to the depths of spewing such putrid and foul remarks to others is beyond reason.  Is it that some people are oblivious to tactful and respectful ways of conversation?  Or merely a snub by unsophisticated people who have risen to the top of the "shit-pile" by use of fraud and theft as well as many other means?

How low does one have to stoop to get to such a level?  My guess is that these people really dont have to stoop very far, as they are merely using it to cover up their own problems and insecurities.

There are more hurtful sayings that we Americans use that are hurtful to people, but are said to try to convey an uplifting spirit.  And to show empathy.  But is it very empathetic to use such sayings when in fact, we have never gone through these situations, tantamount to what they are going through?  And why is it that we feel it necessary to say anything at all in these situations?  Maybe we should all just take a moment, reach out and gently hold their hand.  Sometimes gestures mean more than words.

Americans are almost "allergic" to any type of physical contact between people other than family or close friends.  On the street people walk by people, careful not to make eye contact.  When businessmen meet, they stretch out their arms to shake hands, careful to keep the "required" room between them for the "comfort zone".  How have Americans gotten to this point, when our counterparts worldwide still believe in being personable, sociable and congenial?  What "crime" is actually committed if we hug someone to show empathy, step one step closer to someone we are talking to, to show that we are in fact comfortable in the conversation and ourselves?  Maybe, just maybe there would be less stress in our lives and we would truly be happier human beings!

**Epilogue**

Sis, I wrote this for you!  I will be here waiting for the "bottom feeders" to fall from their "pedestals" and "thrones" just so I can say...."Maybe its for the best!"
