Goodbye

Don't cry for me,
I don't matter.
You were too shy for me,
and my life was shattered.

He left me when I was young,
he left you when he was old.
She did say goodbye...
but she sounded so cold...

Nevermind what he said,
he never cared!
Remember who she was,
she was always there!
Never forget her face
but try to forget the pain.
Don't bother with who he was,
you'll never know.

He was your father,
and he left you.
She was your mother,
and she loved you.
You were a child,
I was just a girl,
You were so sad...
Your tears were like pearls.

All she left was a note
to explain why she had slit her throat...
Why did she do it?
Did she really care?
You don't remember who he was...
He was never there...
