General
Piper took after his dam in temperment more than his sire, he is very mellow and laid back around the barn and when he is turned out, yet he is very competive with my other yearling, Alottadesire, when they are turned out together. He loves to run and play in his paddock all day long, although he has settled down nicely to having a saddle put on his back and a bit in his mouth. He won't be broke to ride until the end of this year, right before he turns 2, but he is getting used to everything now.
On His Pedigree
His sire CELTIC MIST, is one of the best Sim racehorses around! He is retired now, but he burned up the track during his career, winning 24 racing titles. He has several successful foals on the track so far. Celtic Mist has a little-known pedigree, but his performance outweighs his pedigree by a mile! If Piper is half as good a racehorse as his sire, he will do well on the track.
Piper's dam, SPOOKY SLEW, is a daughter of the phenomenol racehorse and sire, A.P. INDY. A.P. Indy has sired such horses as APTITUDE, GOLDEN MISSILE, SUAVE, and MINESHAFT, all of whom earned well over 1 million on the track. He is also the sire of PULPIT, RENAISSANCE LADY, STEPHEN GOT EVEN, and YELL. Spooky Slew also traces back to SECRETARIAT, NASRULLAH, RIBOT, ROUND TABLE and BUCKPASSER.
Piper has a great pedigree with some famous Sim horses as well as some very famous real horses in it! It will be interesting to see how Piper matures as a racehorse!
