Play of falls

Life a page so white
The script is left to be written.
The Actor takes his place
On the stage, curtains down, faces hidden.

Then the final call, the play has begun
Improvisation is the only language spoken here.
The audience listens in great anticipation
Wondering, how will the next scene fair?

- Intermission -
Life Goes on, People listen.
Love soars, people die,
Audience hates, hope will fly.

Curtain rises, the show continues.
The climax nears excitement is flaring.
People whisper, they think they know.
The play turns leaving them staring.

The End’s insight,
Audience grows restless.
The actor has grown old,
Death comes, rendering him breathless.

The lights come on, Actors Bow
Applause is contained however strong.
The main Actor takes the stage
Restraint is lost, the praise long.

The people pile out, to there expensive cars.
They ride home, by the light of the stars.
It seems the show is over but it has hardly ended.
They forget for only one life is mended.

For on the stage of life people are the stars, just like in
The Play of Falls.
