I Give Up by Sereko princess-serenity@rocketmail.com I've had this story sitting in my computer for a long time. I created it in March of 2001 and it is currently February of 2002. Almost a year. Anyway, I haven't continued writing the story where I left off and have only been randomly reading through it while editing. Either way, I thought I might post it with the rest of my multi-part stories since this is one of my fragments that is not only very large, but it also has a solid beginning (most of my fragments are plot lines that just hang somewhere in the middle of a story). Enjoy what there is and maybe I'll get around to being inspired to continue the story soon. ^_- Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon or any of the characters associated with the story. I merely use Naoko Takeuchi's genius as a starting point for my own storytelling. ---------- Prologue ---------- Darkness was everywhere. The moon had barely enough time to cast its glow upon the earth between the passing clouds. Some stars could be caught shimmering in the navy sky, calming everything below them. Nobody was usually up at the hour of two in the morning, except for red-eye pilots and chubby, old truckers. Tonight was special, though. A slimy creature...well, *thing*...had disturbed the peace of this night and had paid its price. One does not want to mess with five girls who had been awoken from sleep every night for the past six months. These tired five could now be found arguing in the middle of a small green park. Other than five warriors, there was one worried mother up in the dark of the night. She had awoken an hour before from a bad feeling, only to have it confirmed. Settling herself with a cup of warm milk, she went to her daughter's room. There was no particular reason as to why, but the woman deeply suspected that her bad dream had occurred because of a problem with her daughter. Her suspicions were correct. As she entered the little bunny's room, she found the window open and an empty bed. Fear gripped her heart at the possibilities of what this scene could mean. "Usagi!" The muffled scream echoed eerily throughout the room. 'Oh, my poor baby, what has happened to you?' For a reason that Tsukino Ikuko could not fully comprehend, she did not fetch her husband or even call the police. She just stood in a shadowed corner of the bedroom as a cool breeze swept past her; just waiting to see if her first born would somehow appear again. End Prologue ------------- Well? Not much here so far, I know. The juicy stuff is coming up in the following chapters. ^-^ Please send ANY comments to me, Sereko. My e-mail is: princess-serenity@rocketmail.com
