Arrival time: Breakfast/puzzles and books
School run time: Walk to school is opportunity for observing and chatting - colours, counting, nature etc. If weather fine, stop in park on the way back. Once back, free play with duplo.
Mid-morning: Tidy away then a story and some songs before going into kitchen for snack-time. Nap-time for some so the rest stay in kitchen to do collage pictures.
Lunch-time: Music on for children to dance to after all that sitting quietly! Lunch being prepared. Before lunch, calm children by having a chat about the week's topic.
Afternoon: After lunch, shop role play (outside if fine).
School run time: Collect school children then call into library where they can play on computers and choose a book each.
Once back, snack time then share any books chosen.
Late afternoon: Play dough in kitchen while tea being prepared. All come together for story and talk about the day then sing songs until home-time. As there are 2 of us, one keeps this going while the other sees the children to their parents.
