TANTRIC-SELF TITLED

Before I get to the review I just wanted to let you know  this band is DAYS OF THE NEW with a new singer. Now the review. Things I would rather have happen to me than listen to this CD again: RUN OVER BY MACK TRUCK, EAT SHIT, FUCK MY MOTHER, DIE BY BEING BURIED ALIVE ect.. I think you get the point. The worst part about it is I don't even think the CD is bad a funny way. If you like joke acts that jump on the band wagon than this one is for you. A very bad DAVE MATTHEWS MEETS the CULT. BAD!  IF BUY THIS ALBUM YOU ARE A LOSER!!!!! (MAVERICK) -AC

TRAIL OF TEARS- PROFOUNDEMONIUM

Strong comparisons can be made with the following: TRISTANIA, NIGHTWISH, MY DYING BRIDE AND OPETH. Not a great disk but not unforgettable either. VERY SOLID! (napalm records) -AC

TRISTANIA - BEYOND THE VEIL

Goth metal has never sounded so heavy or hauntingly beautiful. This is one of the best new releases of the year. This band from Norway has such a unique sound that they can't be easily categorized. Seeing as how I hate categorizing anything anyway, that's fine by me. The mixture of power metal and classical combining of death vocals and operatic accompaniment is the best way to describe them. Goth fans should love it, and so will the open minded metal fans. I can't say enough good things about this band or this disc. If you don't mind broadening your musical horizons you should buy this. It will change the way you look at music. (NAPALM RECORDS) -MB

12 DAYS OF ANARCHY - FIRST CD EVER

OK, they are trying. I guess. Bad production and poor sound quality aside, this is still amateurish. It's just like way too many other death metal bands I've heard before. I mean, if you're looking for a sound like Cannibal Corpse or Morbid Angel circa 1990, this is for you. Although you may want to jump in front of a fast moving truck after that annoying clipping noise present in every song reaches into the back of your skull and drives you mad. Maybe that's just me though. They need to tighten up and write some more progressive stuff, and quit scrimping on production costs.
